Ratts is not perfect, but he has the experience to know what it takes for a successful footy environment. We need to put the foundations in place and you can’t expect to sprinkle some magic dust and recruit a few ready made players and expect to become an instant premiership contender*
I am optimistic that there could be a day that this club starts getting all the cogs in place to set us up for a tilt at another flag. I am optimistic that Ratts may be able to convince some of the non-footballing types who call the shots to play the long game and not just try and take short cuts
* I reserve the right to change my mind if we can get Amon, Tarranto and DeGoey to the club in 2023
