Hang on?!
Wasn’t he hopeless at StK?
But then again, he became good after going to Richmond…

Try him in Sexy Beast if you want to see menacing. Would have made a great back pocket

Re: former Saints assistant coach latest appointment
Yes I remember on here he was considered by the experts hopeless and a main reason we were hopeless.
He went to Richmond and straight away media experts said he was very good and they went on to win another flag.
Now he’s a senior coach.
On on the couch Nick Rewoilt was very vocal on how good he was praising him highly.
Maybe all the coach bagging on here is not justified and we need better cattle but I do agree we need to rotate and bring in fresh ideas from time to time.

Richardson never listened to Kingsley. Perhaps Kingsley had enough when Richardson kept singing the praises of Billy Longer. Any fool could see that Longer was of no value onfield
I remember Caroline Wilson at the time saying that there were issues in the coaches box with Richardson failing to allow input fron assistant coaches

Re: former Saints assistant coach latest appointment
God there’s some absolute s*** spoken on here.
Kingsley was highly rated inside the 4 walls at StK (including AR)
Apparently when he was assistant coach at StK experts and itk’s here in part blamed him (as they are doing now with assistants)
Then he went to Richmond and was part of a premiership (maybe 2)
Richo went to Melbourne as High Performance Manager and was part of a premiership
David Rath (another scapegoat) was a part of Hawthorns 3 peat
Brett Ratten - who has coached both Carlton and StK to finals was the senior assistant during Hawthorns 3 peat
It’s funny
They seemed to go alright elsewhere- but when they get to StK - all of a sudden they are hopeless
You watch
If we leak a few goals next year - Enright will be clueless
How about we dig a little deeper and find the real problem

The real problem is rarely the coaches. Sometimes; but rarely. It will always be about the players the coaches have got at their disposal to execute their plans.B.M wrote: ↑Tue 23 Aug 2022 7:33pm God there’s some absolute s*** spoken on here.

I've never heard an honest coach take credit for sustained success. They play a part - yes; but the honest ones will always say that even their best plans can't be executed without the right cattle.
And we definitely haven't had good cattle - let alone the right cattle - for a very long time.
Go you red, black & white warriors

Re: former Saints assistant coach latest appointment
Me.
Ross is clearly coach of the year, regardless of other manufactured award mechanisms.
We have been told and I believe our list was bottom 4 early, then with some parade ground drills 6 to 12.
Ross maxed it out to top of the range with plenty of challengers doing their darnedest.
Great work Ross, Cory, Lenny and Rob. Fantastic job.

Why was our list bottom 4 just because you were ‘told’? The evidence of our ladder finishes in the last 2 years says otherwise.
The panel who votes might choose Hinkley if his mob can beat Brisbane at the Gabba…
as for Ghandi vs Messiah…
Neutral observers will wait to see who’s the winner between Saints and GWS in the final
GWS have a younger list and less experience than us. Their age rank and average games is lower. They’ve also had a bad run (like us) with injuries to key players. I remember when we played them they had their number 1 KPD out and both their other tall defenders were injured in the first quarter.

No wonder GWS have done well.
I saw Adam in Sexy Beast and his quarter time sprays must be terrifying.

11 wins last year after that rubbish game in Cairns cost us a finals spot said we were finals bound this year, no matter who was coaching us.

I am just so excited being in the eight. A bit giddy.
Wasn't a bad job they did this year though, was it.

That just goes to show that the media is full of biased fuckwits, with no deep understanding of the game.
