No one wants to go to Essendon.

And even if they did no one to sign a contract.

The President, Coach and CEO just left. They are not travelling well. And remember McDonald-Tippungwuti.

Terrible time for rumours eh?

If there is one thing I am confident of at present, it is that Essendon is a less attractive club for players to join that St Kilda currently is by a fair margin.

The Dons are in turmoil, and who knows when it will settle. Especially as they have been not in a good way for a long time.

He’s a Tiwi island man who came to Melbourne as a 17 year old kid to pursue an education and follow his dream of playing AFL. His cultural background meant he basically had to learn English as a second language.

He’s been vilified and the fact that he feels somewhat isolated and homesick may have compounded his mental health issues. He’s not your usual creamy skinned aboriginal so that usually means he’s an easy target for the bigots and morons.

One of the reasons he retired was because he was sick of the racial abuse. Racism that he experienced in everyday life that he wouldn't experience back home. In his footballing career it came from the crowd in the stands and from anonymous cowards on social media and some of the racists were also Essendon supporters.

“…following the Bombers' 49-point final defeat to the Western Bulldogs, McDonald-Tipungwuti became the target for vile racist remarks on the club's Facebook page - even though he was on personal leave and did not play in that match.”

Are you just making stuff up with the title of your thread?

So yes. Normal course of events for players retiring and players looking for change.

No substance what so ever in my book.

,….. ‘according to some’. Who are these ‘some’?

Hill, whatever you might think of him as a player, is popular with the other indigenous boys so his departure might have repurcussions.

I'm not so sure. Big changes in the offing can mean big opportunities for the right player.
