Lethlean on de Goey, new COO and other senior positions
Following in today's edition of Melbourne Age:
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/don ... 5bcg6.html
Looks like the club's strong focus remains on clearing the debt by appointing Carl Dilena as Chief Operating Officer.
Happy to see both David Rath and James Gallagher remain in place to continue the teams "upward spiral"
I personally hope Gallagher can use his SA contacts to bring Billy Frampton to the club in 2023.

"Due Diligence" is a misnomer when it comes to St Kilda.
Undue Negligence would be more apt.
Blah, blah, blah ... Walk the talk for once St Kilda!!! ... tired of hearing the same BS and useless posturing that accompanies it.

Yes a raft of new appointments.
It includes a number of football department personnel who are now locked in despite the current Football Department Review.

Have you seen the terms of reference for the review?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Thu 25 Aug 2022 1:43pm Yes a raft of new appointments.

The club probably should be more transparent but maybe that's by design. The conflict between club and supporters on what should be under review is what causes the "sack everyone" lynch mob to go into cardiac arrest.
Hopefully the club is a little more measured because some information probably needs to be protected so as not to telegraph to opposition clubs all of the club IP.

Re: Lethlean on de Goey, new COO and other senior positions
Reading that article suggests that the post season review has now been completed. Otherwise how can new appointments continue to be made and the unrelenting pursuit of DeGoey be escalated?
If it has not been completed then perhaps the terms of reference relate to non-personnel related areas of improvement that can be made around the place, minor operational improvements etc.

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Reading between the lines it looks like the review might just simply have been a few phone calls to some "high profile" female supporters to ask them if they would go on a holiday to Bali with De Goey and would they be willing to drink Bintang.Templar wrote: ↑Thu 25 Aug 2022 3:05pm Reading that article suggests that the post season review has now been completed. Re: Lethlean on de Goey, new COO and other senior positions
As I see it the review will be predominantly about what the club can do to have a better performing player list, which is really about the current methodologies rather than the senior backroom managers. They will examine what the causes were for the post bye slump because up to that point the team was going quite well.
The club proceeding in the meantime with arranging senior appointments for 2023 does not interfere in any way with that process.
Despite what some supporters feel, there is not a hell of a lot wrong at Moorabbin, nor is there dissension in the ranks between players and coach - the 2022 list was short at least 3 or 4 elite players, especially in the guts, and the club has already made it abundantly clear that this will be addressed in the off-season.

Disastrous finish to the second half year
Let’s have a review - good.
Let’s also quickly lock in the people in charge of the disastrous second half of the year…
If I was the tea trolley lady…I’d be very nervous..
This review is clearly hard hitting

our famous 'in the know' is reading this forum purely in 'Guest' mode, because he knows some on here (including me) will target him in a Zorko-like fashion.
Most punters on here will praise him, but the angry ones like me will keep him silent.

Delina is highly experienced and has good credentials but he has gone from being a CEO to a COO.
