There were allegations of misconduct towards a female staffer. More than one alleged instance.
A bloke in a position of power like him, with friends n suckholes on the board- when they behave badly, there's always a cover-up such as a payout etc
The abrasive elements of his personalty are also what makes him highly competent under pressure and a leader who men want to follow.

But the biggest danger is that he trys to implement a defensive game plan that is based on pressure and lacks score board impact. HA (Our score)
12.8 15.11 25.11 17.9 15.12 14.20 20.8 13.12 14.13 11.17 15.13 16.8 13.14 14.7 13.12 15.15 16.10 13.16 10.14 16.12
8.11 17.12
I would take those scores and the percentage of 155.7
We did drop scores in finals of 2009 Goals 12 9 9 sadly

Yep,,everyone should watch, and listen to Lloyd at the end.
And as for Barrett - that contemptible opportunist, piling on St Kilda at the end....and now he's so full of compassion for poor 'ol Ratts.

Re: Ross Lyon loves St Kilda
Being a Saints member for 51 years; I've seen it all, and needless to say I've seen lots of coaches come and go. Ross Lyon is intelligent enough to adapt his coaching and game style to suit. Since Jeans; I believe he's been our best coach. Admittedly he is dealing with a new gen of younger players with different attitudes but if decides to take the job on let's buckle up and see how far he can take us. Contrary to many opinions, I think our list is very competitive and I believe we should have been playing finals this year.
I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

Sorry - meant to add to previous thread - recent Age article
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/he- ... 5bq0w.html
St Kilda want to appoint their new senior coach within a fortnight, with Ross Lyon’s long-time lawyer expecting an approach from the club within days.
And the man who gave Lyon his career break and signed him as Saints coach in 2006 says there is no reason why the club and coach cannot forge a new relationship.
Lyon left the Saints in tumultuous circumstances after the 2011 season, when the club and his then manager thought they had agreed to a contract extension, only for Lyon to have done a separate deal with Fremantle.

However, Lyon, who guided the Saints into grand finals in 2009 and ’10, is still beloved by many players from his time there, including former captain and high-profile commentator Nick Riewoldt, and has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Brett Ratten - should he want the job.
Lyon does not have an agent, but his long-time lawyer John Gdanski, also a friend and confidant of Lyon, and a former Saints board director, said on Saturday that Lyon, who has worked in the media and in business since he left the Dockers, was expected to chat with the Saints this week.
“He has definitely not been approached and, like anyone, is always keen to have a chat. He loves St Kilda … (but) unless there is a particular offer, he is very happy where he is,” Gdanski said.

“Wouldn’t it be great to see the two of them, Lenny (Hayes) and Ross, together again.”
Club great Hayes recently agreed to return as an assistant coach alongside Ratten, the latter blindsided by his shock axing on Thursday. Angry friends of Ratten said on Saturday that he had been “stitched up” by Saints powerbrokers, and there was now no sympathy for a club desperate to be in the premiership mix as soon as next season.
this fan hates him. he wrecked the club.

Re: Ross Lyon loves St Kilda
We're all human saynta and we all make mistakes
My beef with him is the way he blamed the players for our Grand Final losses and the way he scarred and tainted our boys in his final year in 2011.
I wrote as much at the end of the year in 2011, just after our loss to the Swans in the final. My beef with him was that instead of acknowledging what a wonderful group they were and how tough and talented they were, he was calling time on their careers.
Here was a guy selling belief when it suited him and all of a sudden he was telling his soldiers they had nothing left. They were done as far as being worthy of getting to the pinnacle with the same squad in his opinion. He was wrong, but his words probably had a profound effect on the group. What a prick!
I heard Roo say last year that he couldn't watch the 2009 GF, and his mate Joey told him during the week before the 2021 GF to watch the game because it was on Foxtel.
Roo said he realised and remembered what a brutal contest it was. Roo said he was glad he did and instead of feeling pain and regret (like he felt) for 12 years, he felt incredibly proud of the boys effort and also his own personal efforts.
