Most of those didn’t coach anymore afterwards
Two of them were gifted incredibly talented lists loaded with generational players.
The best sub-plot with Lyon returning is we get to confirm once and for all if he can rebuild a list. He needs every bit of his 4 year contract which is also a rare achievement at our club.
Is it a fairytale or will it be the biggest media circuis since the schoolgirl affair?...as Bruce would say...delicious!

I'll take that bet. I prefer finger mark or mangrove jack and some mud crab served for entre will be required.

Look. Your on. Might hunt you down this year when we play Argentina at Cazaly's in a social match for the takings of the sausage sizzle, served next to the men's toilets, and we'll go have a platter anyway. Lol

Of course, forgot the gruff but good hearted neighbour Mr Walsh (call me Geoff.)

RTB returning to coach is the equivalent of:
Jezza replacing Ken Sheldon in 1993
Stan Alves replacing Ross Lyon in 2010
Tim Watson replacing Scott Watters in 2012
Grant Thomas replacing Alan Richardson in 2018.
RTB returning to coach is the equivalent of:
Rodney Eade replacing Luke Beveridge in 2023
Rocket and the Bulldogs were pretty unlucky 2008/09/10
In the 2008 season, Eade coached the Bulldogs to third on the ladder and then to the club's first preliminary final since 1998, but they were eliminated by Geelong who were the eventual runners-up. In the 2009 season and the 2010 season, Eade took the Bulldogs to two more consecutive preliminary finals, falling to St Kilda (only just) on both occasions
