No worries, we can do this role guys.
Just need to develop a process to resolve our different opinions and we split the moolah.

I'm a business analyst...And I've modelled the process for us already:
Pretty simple process!

Is that Leo Conolly on the bottom right? ...or Cooper Sharman?Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Tue 13 Dec 2022 3:12pmI'm a business analyst...And I've modelled the process for us already:

If you look closely at that model it seems a Picasso style portrait of J. Roughhead, reclining, semi clothed. Pensive.

Re: Gags going at end of 2022
Its a shame I thought he had done a reasonable job considering the list he inherited. Some on BF are suggesting he was moved on as a result of the review? but I think it is he simply wanting to move back to SA and the club wanting their List Manager based at Moorabin.
Lets hope we can find a proven quality replacement, as after the coach, the List Manager is the next important role in acheiving footballing success in my opinion.

Yep, that looks pretty straightforward. So that process should resolve any conflict in what? 24 hours?Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Tue 13 Dec 2022 3:12pmI'm a business analyst...And I've modelled the process for us already:

Do you have Model B ? To go with our Game Plan B ?
I wonder if RTB is aware that SS are crying out for a Plan B as it seems Ratts & Rico could never find one to shut up the dissent at SS on nilch Plan B
I think you’ll need to tweak your Model A to show you’ve considered a Model B - even tho we have lost Finnis, there are a few of his ilk on here. So it’s prudent to give the illusion of inclusiveness

Re: Gags going at end of 2022
He was one of our best list managers yes he made mistakes but generally got it right.
Does that now open the door for Elshaug to return I know ross is a good mate.
Really hope that doesn't happen I thought we were after Cripps now that Gallagher is in SA can he be a scout in the SANFL and other comps there for us.

Re: Gags going at end of 2022
The two heavyweights have the position covered.
Geoff and Simon and Ross probably shared a really special bottle of Shiraz and Geoff and Ross told Simon there's no worries.
What's the point of wasting money paying someone when RTB and GW will be telling the LM what they want?

No to Elshaugh, no to SOS.
We cannot reward Elshaugh for the Petracca debacle by giving him another opportunity.
SOS only had currency by knowing the GWS list. Carlton's list improved after he left.
The HS report says our salary cap is tight because we paid mid range players "overs" to come to us. I'm not sure that is the legacy Gallagher wants to be remembered for.

James Gallagher has done a very good job for us considering the parameters he had to work within. His ability to pin-hook good players from thin air has been uncanny and he will be missed.

You need someone to manage the $$$ and make sure the club stays under the cap. It's a big job . The recruitment team pick the playersScollop wrote: ↑Tue 13 Dec 2022 6:31pm The two heavyweights have the position covered.

Then Cripps can convince a few of Ports better Victorians to come home like Butters Dursma, Marshall and Rozee.

Gags can convince Port that a swap for Ross, Crouch, Hill and Campbell is a great idea.
We will need to send Trout too, they won't believe Gallagher.

Gags has more strings to his bow than football
One of the things with moving interstate is children - because they very soon get to a stage in education and in life where, if you wish to return to your place of origin , they may not follow
So you either make a decision by a certain time (so children of a certain age) or the decision is made for you
Bear in mind that Gag’s wife is of SA origins also, the daughter of a very fine footballer with North Adelaide, then Norwood (and a premiership player at The Parade along with 3 generations of the Gallagher family who are similarly premiership players) and South Australia - and, with her sister Netball legends as International players of repute
So both sides of the family are sporting royalty in South Australia
Now for Jack to add another generation to the legend
Gags has bought considerable skill and commitment to St Kilda
He leaves with St Kilda in a far better position than it was when he was recruited from banking to football

Think the world of James and what he has achieved.
Just have a nagging feeling relationships/chemistry with Walsh and Ross might be factors.
The doing it for the family reasons mostly don't ring true.
Big shoes to fill.

Re: Gags going at end of 2022
There was a rumour on here a few weeks ago (not from tony74) that Gags+family were feeling a strong pull from rellies in SA.
And he asked the club if he could keep working for us, from Adelaide.
