He is never going to be a player to build a team around.
However he is exactly what stkilda need with their injury list.
Honest hard toiler that can play at either end of the ground.
Conditions didn't suit him ( wet and slippery) on Saturday night.
Experienced platers without injury are a difficult find at moorabbin.

I don’t think he had a great match up (the Ess defence is quite mobile and not huge), also as a night game was a bit slippery etc
The sub becomes such an important tactical play and Paton coming on was a good move
I don’t think he’ll be dropped as we go back to Marvel
