He also mentioned he believed he knew a lot about football and that its enjoyable having the charismatic Coach and Club Captain at Pieville.

Our salesmen I guess were Lethlean and Ratts so can understand his position re anti-charisma. Interesting to hear his poor opinion of us though. Making the offer and being rejected must have been a bit of a face slap for those guys, especially after pleading the case to a skeptical board.

On Monday's 360 Ross observed we are in goodish form even though a number of players are not, so there is significant potential upside. As reported elsewhere, he said he is concerned with long term list build rather than defending a spot in the 8. Finals are the natural result of hard work/good process; the corollary?

In the light of day where does that leave supporters, low short term expectations and not much fun? Be nice if we were thrown a bone Friday night.
Haven’t been able to build a competitive list for the last 12 years. What’s a few more…🙄

Enough of the nice men in suits. Bring in some admin who demand success!

f*** degoey and f*** Collingwood. He is a perfect fit for them.
My dying wish is that we win another flag against these arseholes …still scarred from our last attempt

I try my best to find another club to dislike more than Collingwood just can’t do it
Their supporters are the lowest common denominator. I just can’t stand them and their ability to dominate the media, makes it worse

f*** the skunks and I’m still amazed by some that don’t share my views. Probably never went to Victoria Park.

Agreed

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

I was at the Hallam Hotel earlier in the year with my crazy Magpie supporting wife. The speakers were Degoey and Maynard. Audience were allowed to ask questions via a piece of paper deposited in a bucket. My question to Degoey was, 'How close did you come to going to the Saints?'

He answered the question a lot more honestly than he did when answered on 'On the Couch'

He said that he was extremely close. He was very annoyed at all the behavioural clauses that the Pies were attempting to impose on him and he basically had the s***s with the club and the way he felt he was being treated. From what I could tell Saints offered similar money but we weren't as stringent on the behavioural clauses. Pies eventually withdrew many of them. He claimed he didn't want to leave Collingwood as that's where his heart has always been but he wasn't going to stay as a prisoner. I reckon his answer on On the Couch was more to appease the pies

Due to my football/magpie loving wife I watch far more Collingwood games both live and on TV than I care to admit. I have been following footy for over 50 years and attended Victoria Park all through the 80's (my parents didn't think it was safe enough until I was at least 12 years old haha)

I don't mind them at all. With such a large following there is ALWAYS going to be a contingent of knobs, just the contingent is larger. I think their ridiculously boisterous large numbers are great for the game. Personally, Carlton then Essendon then Richmond are my least favourites. I grew up hating the pies like everyone else

Don't blame de Goey one bit IS - professional sportsmen have been playing off one club against another forever in order to drive up the price for a new contract, they don't have long careers and are fully entitled to make the most of their talents to set themselves up for life after footy.

I was actually quite impressed with what he said on Monday night, he has cleaned up his act which after his past shenanigans is commendable.

He wouild have been a great fit at St Kilda under RL!
