Another deflating loss in another deflating season .

5. Jack Sinclair . Far from his best but, in my view, far-and-away our best again.

4. Jimmy Webster . I am at home with COVID, and it is much harder to judge than at the ground , but I think he played on Cameron all night . Did a great job. Will be filthy that someone else’s errant handball gave Cameron a last-gasp goal .

2. Mason Wood. One of the few who played well in the first half . Quieter later, but still better than most.


2. Brad Hill. Kept running, making position, trying to break lines, all night.

1. Josh Battle and 1. Liam Stocker. A couple of solid defenders( I don’t think Hipwood kicked any of his goals on Battle- I do stand to be corrected).

I commend also the effort of Jack Steele. He is clearly not fit, but there is no doubting his ticker.

5. Howard - outstanding for the Lions. Milked a 50 for them and then created a goal from a turnover 30 seconds before the end of the game. Another flawless backmans game.

Bit hard for Cameron to kick goals when Hipwood and Daniher were marking lace out.

But I agree Jimmy did do a good job on him.

Jimmy did play well but from where I was, he and Paton shared the responsibilities on Cameron and Rayner. Paton's game was very good and very selfless.
