You need to lighten up before you give yourself a heart attack.

Try not to take it too seriously because your heart is likely to fly out of its chest cavity if you let anonymous personalities agrivate you so severely.

Pro tip: put me on ignore.

OR! practice your persuasive argument skills and counter the POV rather than follow me around with your pointlessness.

Another pro tip: not everyone has to think or have the same views.

Champ & you are a champ. There are no persuasive arguments to counter the purile, let alone those pretending to be educated or believing they hold positions they only dream of. This is you, it has always been about you & your rubbish opinions.
Rubyjo gave you credit that no one on here ever has. You are a fraud, accept it and disappear into your sixth nic.

You clearly are getting yourself worked up over this anonymous internet thing so do yourself a favour and put me on your foe list, it's real easy, just go into your control panel and select the Friends and Foe tab and add Vortex.

But the fact you keep following me around with your feigned protests suggest you love the controversy, just like a few others who I have also suggested put me of their Foe list, but alas they don't and alas we are all still just getting along fine, I think some even appreciate my educated POVs because we seem to have very meaningful correspondence.

So go please make a choice, put me on foe or just lighten up a little and try not to be so transparent with the feigned protests.

Speaking of depth, how far up the bottom does the head have to be to deliver the pontifications above. VFL level or full agrivate.

Cairnsman since 2002 is the one I should still be except it was murdered by a ruthless and brutal dictatorship who led a bloody coup d'état back through the cold war period. The dictatorship was eventually overthrown during an uprising by the Saintsational Liberation Fighters who overran a secret meeting place known as the Chinese Restaurant Forum, however many posters lost their nics during that fierce battle as they courageously fought back against the secret plans to commercialise Saintsational and enrich the dictatorship in corrupt revenue sources. Over the years since that bloody battle there have been various insurgencies by supporters of the dictatorship who have seized back parts of Saintsational via moderation and carried out untold atrocities and cleansing of peaceful posters who dare resist the regime and their attempts to censor free speech.

And although Saintsational has never been restored to its former glory days before the coup d'état with thousands of posters fleeing and seeking asylum over at Bigfooty it at least has been preserved in its rightful state as a public town square of which you currently enjoy today.

Please take a moment to honour those who gave their nics.

Just thought I’d bump this thread which had claims of great talent and depth.

Obviously was from February and just wondering what the SS think tank thoughts are on our supposed great depth now we are in July and have a reasonable sample size.

Pretty clear we have great depth.

McKenzie
Coffield
Hayes
Allison

Unavailable every game.

Billings 1 game
Jones 1 game

Membrey 2 games

Max King 5 games

Clark has missed a large chunk of games.

Still in the 8.

We have used our depth and most of that is now starting 22.

Membrey couldn't get on the park. Billings couldn't make it into the team without injuries to Hill and Higgins.

Our back 6 has depth in Cordy and Highmore. Although I suspect Cordy will play more games than not, for the rest of the year.

We have a solid backup ruckman if Marshall goes down.

We have a "compressed" list, with few superstars and few being carried, but a lot of middling players in the middle.

Considering the relatively low number of players used by Lyon on the list thus far suggests he doesn’t rate much of list. I don’t think it’s any secret there is going to be somewhat of a rebuild starting at this years trade time. My curiosity is around more about the type of players he will bring in rather than who is going to be moved on as it’s fairly obvious to a degree.

How can he use more when he’s had a ridiculously long injury list.

Even Hotton and Keeler were long term outs.

I see alot of people talking about cleanout and getting players in, which sounds positive but we've never really been a destination club and I'm not sure anything has changed so will anyone come? If we pay overs and they don't star then it becomes a bitch-a-thon.

We have had reasonable success with Rookie, SSP, and late PSD picks. I think we should chance it taking 4-5 picks in the draft, as many rookies as we can fit, and leave 2 spots for SSP and MSD.

question's probably going to be asked about the durability of those constantly on the injury list so there's that, and then there are the players he's already decided won't be coming along for the journey. Question is, how many do we currently have on the list who could potentially be capable of standing up in the final minutes of a GF, this very week and at best I count about 6-8.

I have fluctuated on that number as the this year has progressed, I think if you go back through some of my posts over the past 12 months I've been as high as 10-12, but I don't think it's that high at the moment.

Exactly! And this is why I'm waiting with interest to see what Ross's magic trick is, the trick that no other coach in 150 has had. You can be the best coach there ever was but building a list that is a flag chance at a poor club like ours is one of the biggest challenges there is in Australian sport. We've only had 2 lists capable of winning flags in 150 years, a coach, even a super coach can't fix that without the the required resources.

This one of the strategies I'd be employing amongst a range of others. The last comment we heard from the club with regards to list strategy was from Walsh where he said we would build the list by going to the draft. Not much meat on the bone there and really means stuff all, but if he meant bottoming out and and only building via the national draft then I fear we may all die without seeing the next flag. Our current marquee forward is on the cusp of being a bust which could set us back another decade if he becomes another Paddy Mac.

King Twins at the very least are now raising questions by footy pundits about being overhyped. They both need to hope things turn around because they are fast approaching 25 and have yet to deliver anything near the hype. Maybe being nicnamed Winx and given the number 12 was a little bit OTT.

Needs to be given 12 months off to develop a body for AFL and strong shoulders.

That'd be three.
George Sparrow's team beat Fitzroy in the 1913 Final, but as they finished on top they had the right to challenge. Even then they didn't win the GF by much.

I would also say that the 1997 GF side was different from the 2009 GF side too. So, that's four.

We just have to take our chances - we can start by taking a small step by beating the Gold Coast Suns up there Saturday, and I think we will.
