Good work by Sinclair after a hospital hand pass.
Feels like Carlton have been on top most of the quarter, lucky to be ahead.
Burnt a couple of golden opportunities going inside 50, need to be smarter.

Keep it up saints. Need to stop the hospital handballs and go by foot. I thought the defence was amazing. Cordy looks like an upgrade on Dougal ATM

I reckon we're a reasonable chance in this.
Carlton are using the tactics that a number of other teams have tried against us: flooding back and then trying lots of quick, risky handballs coming out of defence to try to disrupt our defensive pattern. It's working ok, but they're using up a lot of energy and, unlike teams like Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast and - in their first game against us - Hawthorn, they haven't so far shown the attacking power to pile on the goals.
They might begin to run out of puff after half-time. For now, their approach will mean that we won't get heaps of opportunities to score, so we will need to capitalise on those we get.
