Famous saints numbers

Post: # 2035303Post st sandy »

So given a few recent departures…..so who will be allocated some of the most iconic saints numbers

1, 2, 4

Are some of the young brigade ready
Owens - already 10
NAS - already 7
Windhsger - already 17
Phillipou - already 25

Would Marshall drop to a low number - yes from me
Sharman?
Caminiti - not yet

Some people have numbers that suit them -- their favourite numbers (like Phillipou's 25), or ones that remind them of their modest beginnings or their famous forebears (like Wilkie's 44, Sinclair's 35)
No reason to change those.

Henry can probably choose whichever he likes -- 23, for continuity, or 4, taking over from Gresham, or even 1 if he's a show-off.
I'd like to see Marshall in 1, if he wants an upgrade.
I think Wood is the most deserving of the higher numbered players. I'd be happy for him go straight to 2 (if it's being reactivated), or even 1.
(I keep thinking we should save 2 for Ben King.)
Dow I think should not be burdened with the expectations of a single digit -- maybe 15?
Sharman would not look out of place in 23 -- a bit higher ranking than 43
And Caminiti the same in 27, from 47. (I'd Still enjoy him in his 'bolt out of the blue' 47.)

24 is still waiting for someone.

Wilkie should be given the choice of 1 or 2. He has earns that rite of passage.

Dow and Henry wore 2 and 23 at their former clubs, would be good to see them move into those vacant numbers.

Caminiti would fit well in 27 and 43 suits Sharman.

Maybe Heath could move up to 15 (previously worn by Gardiner)

Give #s based on where a player finishes in the TBM.

I hope they give Henry 4 and Dow 1.

Yeah, let's make millions advertising the fact we have only won one flag.

That's a real good idea.

Go get one mate. You only live once. Right forearm so you can hang it out the sportscar window.
