Re: Mid season draft
Max Benier has been called up from the VAFA to debut in the VFL amid talk St Kilda has its eyes on the defender ahead of the mid-season draft.
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

We don’t have a list spot do we? Unless Van Es goes to the long term injury list

Re: Mid season draft
A forward worthy of the description, if you please, Sir.
Someone like Sharman but not like Membrey if possible.

Re: Mid season draft
Kobe Ryan from West Adelaide. Midfielder who knows how to find the pill and is a competitive animal. Would be leading the Magarey medal this year. I'm a bit biased, I watched him star in my son's team since auskick. He is the nephew of James Gallagher so you'd think we'd be looking at him. A great kid who lives and breathes footy. He also has 3 younger brothers and 2 of them are on Westies pathway list.

Re: Mid season draft
Has anyone seen a report that says Crouch’s knee is stuffed? Might a long term injury / retire if the rumours are correct. Maybe he’s more missed than we thought

Re: Mid season draft
And yet he trained last Thursday and wasn't limping, but who knows, he might have had his knee juiced so he could run.

Re: Mid season draft
Well there is a State game between the SANFL and the WAFL this weekend
But I do not suspect there is a Judd running around in either of those sides
And how many named in those sides have already been on AFL Lists and delisted?
Needle in a haystack stuff thinking there is a gem out there
And given the information on the Clubs Website, Crouch may play this week, the question being at what level given his length of absence
IIRC he led our Brownlow votes in 2023 so central to this side and, in my opinion, a central reason our mids are being exposed
Not quick but instinctive and consistent

Re: Mid season draft
Crouch may well play the season out
But his knee is not good
He’s been on the injury list now as 2-3 weeks for 8 weeks
Once the meniscus is fkd and it’s bone on bone it becomes degenerative and then you just wait for arthritis to set in!
