Someone should convince Lyon to try Max King in defence.
Maybe at FB?
Starting with a few simulations during training, maybe?

Open up the forward line ... and the possibilities.

No more bombing it into the F50 as the go-to plan.

We need to concentrate on recruiting quality midfielders ... Max King might be our Weitering?

Lyon might be hampered by the blinkers he chooses to wear?
Why in earth would you risk stuffing up one of the competition's best defensive six by inserting Max King into that part of the ground??

The proverbial square peg in a round hole!

King is and always has been a key forward and the only other role he could possibly take is ruck contests in the forward half, as a means of getting him more involved in the play.

His sole focus right now should be on fixing his yips from set shots in front of goal and improve his sub-standard forward craft.

If he fails to achieve this he's never going to become the next million dollar man.

In the event that Arie Schoenmaker becomes a key defender (as I predict) they could move Josh Battle into the forwards to assist King, in place of Tim Membrey .

You should watch the highlights of the Sandy game. Matt Allison may be the player to assist King.

Hi skeptic, any chance of changing the title of this topic to something more respectful and in line with a supporters forum.

Its a bit low rent, I think, and its popularity means its one of the first things a reader sees: like coming upon the latrines out back before seeing the big house.

Couldn’t agree more. Looks very nuff on the surface. If any opposition fans skims this forum they’d think we’re all clowns (which we are).

It's blatant misrepresentation of the forum contributors as well.
A significant proportion, say the majority, may want Ross sacked - they probably never wanted his reappointment- however equally quite a number hope for success over a few seasons and don't want a sacking.
The topic heading implies all the forum is calling for a sacking. That is not true. Heading needs amending to make it clear it's not a unanimous position by any means. It's a hijack.

No good asking for something to be changed without providing alternatives.

I would imagine that Brunswicksainter and Yorkeys want it changed to "In Ross we Trust" or "Ross completes me" or some such.

Another one bites the dust.

No.
Just something like: a lot but not all, want the Club to sack Ross.
The majority still get their message across and the innocent are protected, or at least not verballed.

I don't think Ross should be sacked, but I think he should be deservedly under pressure. Not for his job, but for high performance.

I do get the feeling he gets a free pass to do what he wants, with no consequence.

There's a bit of contradiction in there.

Not sure what the free pass is for?

We need to be careful of what we wish for as Saints supporters, one of the massive strengths of Ross is he's extremely well connected in the media and learnt the media craft well and I'd guess its a very handy strength to have for a coach in charge of a rebuild at a poor club like ours. The media would be eating alive a rookie coach.

So what should the consequences be?

I highly doubt, in reality, RTB will be sacked before his tenure is up.
Fred and Co will be hoping for steady or heady improvement so that they have something to sell to the gullible, the media circus and the diehards.

I think the thread's OP and Title is the authors frustration at the Saints losing consistently, still.
Even under the lauded one's complete stewardship.

Ross has been given carte blanche by the board and president to build his team and the mould the club at his whim.

There are already some glaring gaps in the assistant coaching ranks and Ross should be responsible.

Ross should be held accountable like he holds his assistants accountable, and the players accountable.

Whether that's public or not is not for me to say, but Ross is not showing any signs of being under pressure.
