This is half the problem. There’s this perception perpetuated that somehow he deserved his spot last year. After 6 games he was a liability. His form after RD 6 was no different to how he’s played this year. He was gifted games pure and simple in the hope that he would magically just become this brilliant player. All we had to do was play him in the ones.
