And so he bloody well should!

Throw his birth certificate out in the trash. Forget his age. He'll be in the top 5 of our b & f, so why in hell shouldn't he go on?

Long live the great man.

None of the "I'm nearing the end of my career", "My age is catching up to me"... not once did he say any of those things.

Just said he would think about it once the season is over and was still uncertain.

Certainly didn't sound like he was leaning towards retirement IMO.

I saw him on stage at the Presidents function, said a few things of interest...

-Ross Lyon, laid back professional and will be a very good coach

-Retirement, no decision made but he will not go for Michael Tucks record

- Has told his wife this is my last season for the last four years

- Will sit down with RL and the club to discuss before making the call

- Will stay involved in some capacity after retirement

Hope he does play on. Will be a big loss when he does decide to retire (which I hope is never)!

I think it depends on whether he thinks we're a chance for the flag next year - had we not begun to find some form I think he would retire at the end of this year.

As it is we're starting to show some potential, and if Harvey thinks (and Lyon et al can convince him) we're a real chance for a premiership next year I think he'll stay on.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.

see now i dont see that from my little contact with bangers over the years he doesnt come across as the kinda guy who would only be in it for a flag
i think it has more to do with how his body copes , sure he wuld love to win a lfag but i dont think thats the driving force for him

bangers is all for the team and i think even if we were dead last if he felt the team needed him and his body was able to go round again he would
all the talk of him sticking round for a flag is kinda makeing him sound like hes only in it for his personal gain and that is a far from the truth as you can get !!!

Apart from the obvious (possibly playing on), this is the most important thing Harvs has said.

I know :? :(

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
