LOL - nice preemptive strike.Mr Magic wrote:What an absolute idiot!
For the good of the CLub he should just quit now!
Another self-serving, ego driven, smarmy, spivvy, load of bs from yesterday's man Rod Buttar$e.
Even though he actually hasn't been on yet, I thought I'd get in first with the obligatory critique of what he is going to say.
Can anyone give us the lowdown on the interview?

Everyone seems to have already made their mind up and I get the feeling that nothing RB could say would make any difference.
He is gone, it is just a question of when he is actually 'removed from the building'.
BTW, He hasn't been on yet.

His main message: "Safe change vs Reckless change"
He does not seem to know what's going on as far as the challenge goes as far as dates and elections.

Proxys - RB has support by email and phone, but needs to investigate further...again mentioning footy clubs going broke....looking backwards again...baby out with bathwater.
RB you FOOL.....how do you need more time to investigate 7,500 votes?
Are you STUPID, DUMB or all of the above??

asked about the 7500 proxies by KB.
RB: Good question and need to investigate it further..
Says he has had overwhelming support by phone and email...
Went then back to sound financial management record....
Has rung Greg W, but Greg W has not rung him back..

Interesting that Rb refrred to Geelong 12 months ago...and that they kept Bomba in the job....

Rod: "We don't want to end up playing in Brisbane, we don't want to end up bankrupt".
Me: And the evidence that points towards this happening is overwhelming. Especially when the way to grow a business is to increase revenue and invest ... something which St Kilda has failed to do.
Rod: "Look at Geelong - they went for stability, they kept Bomber and the kept the board, and now they are playing for a flag".
Me: Maybe if we'd followed the Geelong model Rod we might have been alright too.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

all in all wasa bit likea political spiel.....so the Board have started to campaign.
It was said by KB that the Corporations Act will be used to require 60 days notice.
Obviously the Board now realise that NB and AT have attracted many to send proxies in.....and so hence their tactic of saying that they would be elected unapposed...
So I would expect AT and NB to now re-iterate publically that they will only stand as part of the FF alternate ticket....and would definately not stand to be elected otherwise.

Keep following the model of the latest premier.....when Rod started the model was Brisbane, then it moved to Sydney, and now to Geelong.
The way Rod has the club run from a footy perspective is to always be the followers, never the leader, never being in touch with what's required to be successful at that point in time......ie. planning the future ONLY based on the past...
Keep following the premiers = never winning a premiership yourself!!
It's called perpetual motion....
