SA clubs get cash boost
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 11,00.html
September 27, 2007 PORT Adelaide and Adelaide will receive $5 million of federal government funding to beef up their training facilities - on the condition the upgrades make the AFL clubs more accessible to the wider community.
Geez, they really need Help..
Don't worry about the clubs that have been around since the start of the comp.. get the new clubs even more stronger... Great idea.. NOT!!!
That sucks... Reckon we need heaps more help, they are already past us with facilities... What we,ve got 2 bikes from 1973?

These clubs applied for these grants in march/april. I am wondering if buttbreath and his group applied for one of these "community based grants?
This grant is just another reason I will not be voting Liberal. Why the F should I have to work my a rse off and pay my taxes so it goes to the morons or the ferals?
I am just glad I am not in the electorate of Boothby where G Cornes' wife is running for Labor

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

The Labor vote is up to 60% on 2PP in SA - and 5 seats may be lost to the government.
And there are seats around Geelong showing the same trend.
Before the last election, and over 3 years ago, there was a similar promise for the Western Oval.
Driven past lately to check the progress?
Down Geelong Road and look right.

3 years later there is a not very substantial in terms of size steel frame up adjacent to the grandstand and there is an impasse over poker machines on site which has stalled the project.
Go have a look then put your slant on the progress made in over 3 years.
Fair dinkum, you people would argue that St Kilda wear red, black and white depending on who said it.
And you are going to vote in a Board at St Kilda FC.
RIP
