Kevin Sheehan's top 10

Post: # 471303Post sasaint »

*Here's Kevin Sheehan's TOP 10 in this years draft:

1. Carlton - Kruezer
2. Richmond - Cotchin
3. Carlton - Morton
4. Melbourne - Mastern
5. Bulldogs - Grant
6. Essendon - Ebert
7. Fremantle - Palmer
8. Brisbane - Rioli
9. St.Kilda - McEvoy
10. Adelaide - Myers
*Posted on BigFooty.

Would be dissapointed is we ended up with McEvoy. A Ruck who prefers to play FF and is slow around the ground. Remind you of anyone? Prefer Myers from ths list or Rance who didn't make this list.

If Rance is available at #9 i would be very disappointed if we didn't call his name out

each team has different needs, and will chase the particular player they require accordingly...

i would say we will chase the best available mid with pick 9 so read very little into the what the "experts" say.

I would be surprised if Rioli ends up at Brisbane.

Out of the top ten clubs i think only port adelaide, essendon and st kilda would be picking up Junior.

Please explain why because I do not understand why he would rather us than Brisbane.

its not so much his wish, if he got his wish i suppose brisbane or a melbourne based club would be his prefered homes.

I just think that brisbane, and the other top ten clubs have greater needs than a quick, outside(ish) forward.

1. Carlton - Kruezer
2. Richmond - Cotchin
3. Carlton - Morton
4. Melbourne - Masten
5. Bulldogs - Grant
6. Essendon - Ebert
7. Fremantle - Palmer
8. Brisbane - Rioli
9. St.Kilda - McEvoy
10. Adelaide - Myers
for me i think it might look a bit like this

1. Carlton - Kruezer
2. Richmond - Cotchin
3. West Coast - Morton - this pick will prob be westcoasts pick but the selection would be the same
4. Melbourne -Palmer - i think palmer would go before Mastern
5. Bulldogs - Myers
6. Essendon - Rioli
7. Fremantle - Rance
8. Brisbane - Masten
9. St.Kilda - Ebert
10. Adelaide - Selwood

thats a risk with any kid i remember pavlova telling the shockers to not draft him cause he only wanted to go to the crows and well he stayed true to the dockers i think you gotta draft the best available player regardless of where they come from otherwise the draft would be a pointless exercise with perth kids just saying they wanna go to perth clubs ectect

Ebert an interesting one

Post: # 471910Post Megamaguire »

I don't really know but Ebert has real pedigree and melbourne isn't that far from adelaide. I wouldn't have a problem with him at Moorabbin.

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Lol, I always hear about how big Eberts head is but I really can't see it being that abnormal..

Given the problems they're having with Mitch Morton, I would be surprised if West Coast opted for Cale Morton. I think the reason they want pick one is because they want Cotchin. Maybe they'll flip Mitch and pick 3 for pick 2 so they can get Cotchin. If they have to settle for pick three, I'd expect them to take Masten or Palmer, but I don't think West Coast are locked into selecting a WA lad.

three weeks ago my source at the eagles was goin on that the club was going to try and move heaven and earth to get morton and palmer in exchange for Judd but it seems now that the blues have the upper hand in the judd deal with west coast looking like getting pick 3 only in the top ten and mitchs aparrent want to get out of WC i would have to agree with you that cale is not likely to be WC priority

doubt Ebert will still be there whne our pick comes. Grab him if he is there - given the name, at worst he will be good trade bait in a couple of years -
power have lots of Vic boys eg Chaplin, Salopek, Boak etc
