De-Listings

Post: # 474263Post locoplayaz »

3 Picks in the Draft (Min)
2 Picks in the Rookie Draft (2 Promoted - Jones, Attard ++ Keep other 4)
1 Pre-Season Draft Pick

Cuurently have 37 Senior players on list + 4 Rookies

So we MUST de-list another 2 senior players or 3 if we want to pick up a player in the Pre-Season Draft

Rumor (Watts has not been offered a new contract)

Players who would have to be on this ice.. (2 or 3 must go)

Watts
Brooks
Rix
McQualter
Gwilt
Ferguson
________

(Highly un-likely but you never know?)

R.Clarke
L.Fisher
M.Gardiner

We must turn over 3 rookies.

We had 29 on our main list before trade week, not including Harvs and Max.

IMO we must delist 1 more.

Firstly Attard isnt promoted and not sure on CJ. Wall has been delisted. Only have to delist one more and that is to get a PSD so not sure of your figures.

Ferg, Gwilt and Mini have a contract I beleive. Certainly Ferg and Jimmy do.

locoplayaz I would say you are pretty much spot on with the players on thin ice.

Brooks will almost certainly go.

Ferguson has a contract apparently. Gwilt is contracted for 2008. McQualter is also contracted for 2008.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Interesting that Wall has been delisted.

That makes three gone. So only need one more if we want anyone in the PSD (like plugger66 said).

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Key forward:
Kosi
Roo
Allen
Brooks
Watts
Goddard – really a midfielder

Key Back:
Max
Maguire
Allen
Sam Fisher - flank
Gilbert - midfielder
Raph – midfield/flank

Ruck:
Kosi - forward
King
Gardiner
Brooks – more forward
Rix
Blake – utility
Van Rheenan

Based on this, in terms of talls only Brooks and Rix look most likely to be delisted…Fergus may be, if Brooks is seen as a better forward option (I think he is).

Rix is not going to improve really, but he’s good insurance…Brooks on the other hand is just a forward, also good insurance but we have Fergus as added insurance…unless brooks shows he can out-ruck rix, given fergus’ presence I would wager brooks is most likely tall to be delisted

I think that’s a shame and have always held hope for him

Who knows?

Really, you’d have

FWD:
roo and kosi as key forwards with a resting ruckman, 2 of x, Schneider, milne, resting mid and a medium sized option too, like gilbert or goddard etc…

BACK:
max and goose definite talls…look to develop Allen there…maybe dempster as a medium sized, sam fisher attacking but can be a tall, raph, leigh fisher and co taking the opposition flankers…getting raph loose is good

RUCK:
King/Gardiner with blake in the 22 for other reasons as an option and kosi can also have a run on the ball

A bit of common sense here.
We have had five retirements. We picked up four this week. = 1 vacancy.
With the rookies, if Wall has been delisted that makes no difference to the senior list. Just a vacancy on the rookie list. C.Jones cannot remain a rookie because of his age. Must be promoted or delisted. (Delisted for mine). That will give us 2 rookie list vacancies.
We must use three picks at the National Draft. So we need to delist at least two players off the senior list, more if we want to use more than 3 picks in National Draft, or want to participate in Pre-Season Draft, or want to promote a rookie. (Geary for mine).
I imagine we will probably delist 3. Raymond certainly, Sweeney looks like he has gone. The 3rd, well Leigh Fisher was the only player touted at Trade Week, but that may be because he had more trade value than Watts, Brooks, etc. An interesting period ahead.

Theyre both already gone.
