James Brayshaw held a Media Conference at about 5.45PM today to anounce that both the AFL and the Stay In Melbourne Group presented to their Board today. A decision won't be made before the 2nd week of December (about 3 weeks) !!

did Brawshaw have his Nike shirt on again or did he get it right this time and have a North sponsor on.....
If they don't move up there they are dead....
And if they take much longer the Gold Coasters will be so pissed with them it will take them years to get established...

i wasnt around for the dark old days of the 80's where us the dogs and a few other teams were in the proverbial pooper...

however it looks like the kangas are gone...and considering we both were in similar positions less than 10 years ago it really is a testament to how far we as a group have come and how the behind the scenes people have certainly earnt their dollars in saving and turning this club into something identifiable and prosperous

"It's a work in progress," Lyon said.

Kangaroos not going anywhere - yet

November 16, 2007 - 6:37PM

The Kangaroos and the AFL are yet to reach an agreement over the league's push to have the club relocate to the Gold Coast.

Kangaroos board members on Friday met with AFL officials in a meeting where both options were presented.

The AFL outlined its incentive package for the club to relocate, which includes wiping off the Kangaroos' debt and providing other financial and recruiting concessions.

The AFL wants another club based in south-east Queensland within the next decade and has encouraged the financially struggling Kangaroos to relocate north.
No decision for a couple of weeks according to Ch. 7 news

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

$4 million profit - he is in la la land. Unless a bit of reality hits soon, the Kangaroos will be suffocated by their own spin. You would hope that he doesn't get control of the Board with such ideas.

braysmooth has obviously been reading the Trading Post because "he is dreaming" they are stuffed, Dimwit will take away the funding and if he takes away the Gold Coast games the next year they will play, Port, freeo, bdogs & Melbourne at the Dome or MCG and loose money on every game, so they will go from $1.5m a year handout from Dimwit to play on the GC, to a loss on each of these games in 2010 and no GC money.....and Dimwit will give the games at the GC to someone else.....either way in 2010 they would be $2m a year behind where they are now....add to that if they have a bad year, which is coming, they are stuffedd.....and " he is dreaming"

wtf i just read that

100 million to move a team to the qld/nsw border where they have no tradition of AFL after pissing up millions there a decade or so ago.

yet they can't afford a drug testing regime?

the AFL is a joke.

let them rot.

its st kilda or nothing for me.
