id imagine the decisions re jumper numbers will be made early 2008, after PSD and rookie draft.

2, 4, 5, 9*, 13, 24, 28, 32, 34, 37 available

2 - Adam Schneider (Forward to replace Hamill...Fresh start, leave the 13 jumper)
4 - David Armitage (Midfielder to replace Thompson)
5 - Shane Birss (Put some pressure on him to really improve. Become the Grammy of 2006 in 2008)
9 - Fraser Gehrig (His number)
13 - Sean Dempster (Similar sort of rating to Voss. Quiet achiever)
20 - Ben McEvoy (His Murray Bushrangers number)
22 - Charlie Gardiner (22 seems to be the number for the latest fringe recruit; Fiora, Birss...Gardiner?)
24 - Steven King (Lets hope our new ruckman has more luck than the last 24)
28 - Jack Steven (Born on the 28th of march)
32 - Eljay Connors (Midfielder to replace Mini)
34 - Khan Harekuku (Latest rookie)
37 - Rookie
41 - Rookie

4 and 5 are very important jumper numbers in our history. They (IMHO) should not be handed out to "put pressure on players to perform"

Give Armo a stellar 2008 and yes maybe #4..but not after 2 senior games. Ditto Birrs afer an OK but not spectacular 07

I reckon the only young' un who does enough to deserve them is Gilbo....if he wants either of them fine..otherwise retire em for a year...SAm Fisher is making 25 his own :-)

Nah, let Gilbert make 19 his own. Have we ever had a superstar #19?

Like your reasoning for no.24, saint bot. :P

4 and 5 should be given to someone like Ball and Dal Santo, but I'm sure they're happy with their current numbers.

I would like to see King get number 28 like our last quick fix ruckman...
Schneider for 13 like at Sydney
2 for McEvoy, I was unaware of this because I have very limited knowledge for St.Kilda history but apparently number 2 is a big number for ruckman for us....
I'd like to see Jack Steven get number 32 because I think that he has a future and I am a big fan of the number 32, it's had its fair share of quality players and it's just a good looking number IMO...
Leave Gilbert at 19...
The only current player that I would even think about changing would be Allen to 24...

IMO there is no reason to change him, his number is under 20 which is all that really matters to me and he hasn't done anything to have earnt 4 yet....

added to that, me trying to be not so cliche as to get #26 on the back of my jumper, got #20 for the future of david armitage.. he can pick the number off my jumper if he wishes to change :]

I never could remember who #5 was, I guess Watts just sucked so much that I forget he ever existed.

Geary and Jones should be first in line for new numbers, though.

Also, for some reason, I'm a fan of Attard in #43. Still not sure why!

Lol, yeah I think he has already made #43 his own, me and my mates have a bit of a cult following the man man we know as simply: Number 43

I dont think Jones should get too comfortable in his current number.

Next year he needs to do something special because I cant see him staying on the list, let alone getting a higher number.

yeah thats probably how I'd do it too.

Gilbert the only youngster right now who deserves such a prestigious promotion to arguably our most famous number.
