How on earth is calling you out for being a sad sack of sh** whining?

I mean really.

And FWIW, the only thing "utterly ridiculous" in this thread is you thinking the AFL coined the term "veteran".

reading this thread just really shows how much everybody invested emotionally into Barry Brooks - having given up 2 good picks for a highly rated junior ruckman who delivered nothing has obvioulsy scarred a lot of people on this forum !!

Lets put it behind us people and look forward - give Ben a go !

LOL JeffDunne, you have managed to top yourself with this one

Your interpretation of a veteran certainly appears to be at odds with the AFL’s which is demonstrated by the Veteran’s List

AFL Veteran’s list requirement
30 years of age
10 years service to one club

St.Kilda Veteran’s list players
Rob Harvey
Age 36
20 AFL Seasons
359 Matches

Max Hudghton
Age 31
11 AFL seasons
204 matches

JeffDunne’s Veterans
Adam Schnieder
Age 23
74 matches

Sean Dempster
Age 23
40 matches

Charlie Gardiner
Age 23
49 matches

Stephen King
Age 28
177 matches
LOL great reponse JB backed up with FACTS and not half @ssed dribble.... .....and Jeff acuses you of playing the man...

You’re getting desperate JeffDunne as you are reverting to you modus operandi of fabricating facts to suit your agenda - again!

Please paste me a copy of where I have stated the AFL coined the term veteran, oh wait you can’t because I’m thinking it  mental telepathy one of your acquired skills?

This was your comment…
JeffDunne wrote:Semantics JB

I merely pointed out that the AFL’s interpretation was different to yours.

The AFL - 10 years service at one club and 30 years of age as a qualification for veteran status.

You however see the term applicable to any player traded to the saints and having senior experience (Say Schneider & Dempster 23 year olds).

You also wrote this…
JeffDunne wrote:FWIW, I’ll stick with the dictionary definition of the word.
Perhaps you should contact the AFL and challenge the veteran’s ruling, if you have it your way we can include Dempster, King, Schneider & Gardiner on the Veteran’s List and get the Salary cap relief 8-)

Accept your stupidity and move on, no wait let’s see if you can hang out for more than 40 minutes before you reply this time…

Hey I don't know if this has been brought up but I CBF going through 4 pages....
There is so footage of McEvoy playing here

He is about 5 minutes 10 seconds in, it's only 10-15 seconds worth but some of those marks are pretty exciting and quite Riewoldt-esque

Stickt fingers.

Also, doesnt look slow, especially when wheeling around, or running off the mark.

Seems to have good awareness of where the space is, and when to run into it.

All that from a 15 second clip ;)

He really does look quite impressive in that clip, my only worry is that his highlights only last 15 seconds

Gotta agree there as well. Its quite absurd to be pessimistic over McEvoy when hes just been drafted. Here's hoping that he can develop into the top class ruckman that he has potential in becoming.

Btw Armooo, thanks for the clip, McEvoy looks as though he has superglue stuck to his hands there.
