spiders been knee capped

Post: # 517214Post saintbrat »

positive 11/2/08
Ruckman Peter Everitt, who damaged the bone behind his kneecap in December, began running last week and is on track for Round 1 against St Kilda at Telstra Dome.

Gibbs said Everitt was fortunate the injury had occurred in early December.

"If it was Round 1 when that happened, he would have missed two-thirds of the year," Gibbs said.

injuring the area around the patella can take a while to recover

small injuries such as small bits of cartilage tearing off and rubbing on the kneecap can be career ending such as we saw with hamill, even after a series of arthroscopes

not sure if that is the case for everitt but 6 weeks sounds fairly severe...it would be in his best interest to sit out for the full term it takes to recover and pehaps a little longer other wise his career is all but over

Anyone know off the top of their head how old he is now? Can't have too much more tread on the tyres.

Very true.

Put a tear in my patella tendon about 18 months ago... still having troubles with it to this date.

Physio said i would probably have trouble with it all my life, unless i had surgery on it, and all the usual stuff normal people can't really afford.

Sydney have three listed senior rucks, Everitt, Jolly and Currie who has not played a game yet. They may have to use Goodes to back up Jolly. Doyle is no longer at the club.
