they were faster than Richmond,

How fast/slow you are depends on the competition so you really can't compare games from other teams.

Thought X, Jones, Dal and Joey looked quick and a couple of the young guys ran out of defence with good pace. Kosi and G also moved well for KPP. When you talk about a team looking quick are you talking about ball movement or individuals speed?

Jake King definately the quickest guy on the ground for mine.

Miles, Eddy and Geary added some speed to the backline, but the reason we looked quicker yesterday was mainly because when we got the ball, the players kicked it forwards. Something rarely seen in 2007.

Said Jones, and I agree with you on Howard.

Didn't think we played slow, but I have seen faster-paced games. I thought our pace was great, showed by our rebounding goals out of defense. Will probably play faster games during the season, but this was far from a sluggish performance. Note the interviews with the Richmond players saying they were told to run run run throughout the night and move the ball as quickly as possible.

probably ball movement. i don't know about last night. probably would see it differenly on tv but when watching adelaide, it appeared that the ball movement was very quick. and just wondered whether the saints could compete with the quickness of other teams.

Missed the adelaide game, but traditionally they do move the ball very well by hand and run in numbers extremely well, always someone going past.

Adelaide are always extremely fit at the start of the new season. Neil Craig is a master at getting his team in top condition. They are well-drilled also. The lethargy of the Pies, after 20 days of travelling and two attacks of gastro, also made Adelaide look good.

I loved it when Jones used his pace to run down a player who had a big head start...and then landeda tackle that stuck.

That was Oakley-Nickolls ... he wasn't aware of the danger he was in! Jones' pressure was good all night.

We were mediumly paced, why would we need to go up a gear when they gave us so much room...

Most sides have pretty much the same pace but look faster when they dont fumble and slower when they do.
