Changes for the Geelong game.

Post: # 520902Post borderbarry »

What changes do we anticipate for this Saturday's game against Geelong. I hope Armitage, Allen, Eddy, Geary, and Miles get another run.

Who is due back this week?

yeh i hope those 5 do get another run. i would expect/hope that lenny comes back for a run. just to get a run before the season proper.

nah mate

lenny will be on ice until the last practise match or pehaps even round 1 (or 2)

calf injuries or soft tissue in general are not injuries you just "give a run before the season proper"

Strike me, more runs in this thread than in a Bombay bath-house.

Someone should alert Punter to it. His last decent run was to a Lynx audition.

If he's fit play him, it can't hurt to either run him for short blocks, or even lose doing so, must get some game time (same with Ball), if we lose having had a 'steady as she goes plan' then that won't take as much confidence out of the team, our plan must stay the same

Two great lines

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

don't doubt your sources, just trying to remember reading it somewhere, but the amount of junk you have to move through in preseason to get anything deceint means unless your the coach or player most people barely have an idea. which is great, love the fact that the club is keeping alot to their chest

I would like to see the Jones boy continue - he improves with every match so its important to give him as much game time as possible in the preseason - great natural speed and running strength.

Basically, I would rest the stars (especially if they are shaking off injuries) and play the young guys, the new guys, the rusty guys...

Gilby's, Armageddon, Attard, the Gardiners, etc.

regards to all

(I'm drinking a red wine at the moment...had 3 beers earlier. A good evening. Girls are in bed asleep, wife is emailing friends...quiet bliss)

Yes after collapsing post game due to a combination of dehydration and a knock on the ribs, the club has announced he will be rested fora week.

as the Cats are the 'yardstick" team at present I would expect that the saints coaching staff will be keen to try a bit harder against them........though not to the extent of selecting anyone with a niggle.

As much as I rate them, and would love to see them in action again - Eddy and Miles are the next in line (after Steven and Chivers) to be replaced once we get fit guys coming back. They won't be playing AFL in round 1, and we need to start getting some game time into those that will be.

That is a list of 30 St Kilda players...and 28 Cats

So must be slimmed down yet.

Both teams are missing some quality players....so should be an interesting hit out.
