Saintsational Fan Forum - A passionate community of St Kilda Football Club fans discussing news, history, players, trade rumours, results, AFL stats and more.
Unless one banner receives an absolute majority of the votes (i.e. 51%), then the two most popular banners will be chosen from this poll, and another poll created to determine which is the new banner.
This poll is open for 7 days.
Please have your say about the new forum banner ... and think carefully!
i like #4, sharpshooter's one with the black background. simple, bold and effective and a nice font. the "l" in saintsational could be a tiny bit bigger, though.
there's also something to be said for #2 otiman (1), which maintains our existing font or "branding".
all of them are worthy efforts. there are some creative people on saintsational.

You make a good point about (1) as it supports the existing branding - which is why I voted for it.
6 (in black) is simple and effective agreed, but the first T shouldn't be a cross - it will serve to alienate some people.
No1 looks a little too amateurish
No2 obscures the faces -- a mistake
No3 I'd be happy with, without getting especially excited
No4 Just a bit too happy-dappy for me
No5 I think is very good, but again not particularly exciting
No6 is excellent -- very professional, and graphically very well resolved. It captures brilliantly that core belief that we are clearly the most sensational team in the world -- essential for a forum like this.
Well, they're my humble opinions. Great work everyone, though. They're all terrific !!
I'm new to Saintsational, and I really like the effort people happily put into it.
I'd like to see what each one would look like when put on the page as some may look a bit strange having patterns and images cut short by the border (as in there'd be half a football picture in the center of the page).
The way to get around this would be once the design is worked out having one created that has a transparent background but displaying full images (ie having a full football surrounded by transparency etc).
I do like The_Dud's one (#6) although the only issues are with the inclusion of what seems to be a religious symbol may be a bit controversial and the size may need to be reduced just a tad so it doesn't make it difficult to see much content. Overall design and effect is really good.

i can easily replace it with the letter "T" if that is more popular, and it can be easily resized, i just guessed for that one
the whole "cross" thing was just trying to incorporate some kind of St.Kilda emblem into the design, but it is not essential
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
#5 gets my vote.....
Its got the name, the two boys and a footy and most of all they are all fully visable.
Its very clear and easy on the eyes

I am excited to stay at St Kilda and this is a great result for the Club and all our fans. I’m proud to be part of the Saints and am pleased to be playing football with the Clubâ€
Yep No 5 for me...whilst #6 is graphically very good..its says "Christian Youth Group" as much as it says "Footy Fan Forum" imho. No #5 screams "Footy"
To be honest i'd rather keep the one we have. Change for changes sake isn't a good idea. None of the submissions (mine included) are up to standard imo. It's easy enough to make a nice logo, but having to include pictures of Sam and Jarryn in there makes it a little more difficult.

Congratulations to you all for your creativity. I admire them all but like no.5 the best because of the balance, simplicity, footy and clear pictures of our boys.
Out of these selections I like #6 the best, Avid I think, best described it and the others.
Are we allowed to use the Saints' shield / emblem or are our hands tied with copyright or similar?
I have a couple of mates who moderate on the Carlton Supporters Club and I must admit that site looks extremely professional. Having said that, I enjoy this site as it's easier to get around and is not as cluttered.
Now I'll go and have a good hard look at myself for having some mates who barrack for Tankton.

I like that one pwoit, its the old one given a face lift..... I reckon this one needs to be considered as well, as much as I like #5, pwoits one is pretty good as well.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of any of them. No offence intended to any of the artists, but to me, #1 looks like a police line up with those lines in the background; #2 and #3 defeat the purpose of putting the photos in by obscuring them almost completely with the text; #4 and #5 a bit too Play School-y for my liking; and #6 has that issue with the cross that makes it look a bit 'church-y'.
Again, just my 2c, sorry if I come across a bit rough.
The white version of #6 would be my pick if I had to pick one though.
