Anyone got any reports from the Scorpions praccy match?
I'd be interested in how the senior boys have played.
Lost by about 10 goals, however were 10 down at half time, first half we may have struggle to get any momentum with players having set game time by the looks of things.
Goddard played about 3/4 of the game total, as did Maguire both still a little rusty, Goaddard well ahead of Maguire at this stage, Demnpster played and got through, no impact on the game though, Rix played well, just. Has played alot better footy at this level. an ommision was L. Fisher, was told he would be playing for us. perhaps a call up?? or maybe injured again?? Ferguson played well, always does, Goddard, Maguire, Ferguson all finished the game on the bench.
Not a bad hit out, but would still be looking for improvement from them, Goddard is the closest to full fitness though in my opinion.

Absolutely pathetic effort - 16 saints players playing.....against a fairly solid bulldogs reserves...Peter Street BOG by a MILE.....
BJ - easily best for Scorps....about 35 touches in 80% TOG, lots of handballs (about 12 kicks) set up lots of Casey movement, NO one to take advantage, his hands were clean and quick. Played Ruck Rover for most of the match. Two classes above anyone else on the ground.
Mini - lots of footy, not one possesion longer than 30 metres...very tenacious, but no hurt factor..HFF/Rov
Macca - Long and gangly, did some nice things, but lacks strength. dropped a few grabs he had first hands on. Second Ruck/Third fwd
Armo - Pretty quiet and then knocked out in the second term....still seems a yard slow. Rover
Ferg - a great battle with Callum Urch...probably won in the end considering the ease at which the ball was entering the F50..took plenty of grabs but coughed it up a bit
Dempster - non existant first half a bit of time on the pine....better third term....very average overhead..Outside midfield
Rix - Was well beaten by Street, but contested manfully and tried hard around the ground...kicked a couple when he went Fwd.
Howard - Mixed bag of good and woeful, no footy brain. BP/FP
Goose - had a very poor game. outside of a couple of good tackles and spoils he had zero effect and was beaten easily by Jason Cloke and McDougall...CHB/CHF/FB
Gwilt - Slow as treacle, and butchered the footy.....had a woeful first half, won more footy in the second.....Centre
Jack - No effect in the first half (<3 touches) won a bit of footy in the last quarter - HFF/BP
Woody - Presented well and took some good grabs at CHF in the first half. looked a fish out of water in the backline in the second half. Has a ? over his speed and agility. CHF/CHB
LJ - Did some nice (clever) things....chased well...but is way too skinny and was brushed aside, and will make no impact. HFF
Eddy - second best player, would have accumulated near 30 touches, ran hard. Outside mid
Chivers - struggled....looks too short to play as a defensive tall. BP.
Casey will be NOWHERE as strong as last year....from what I saw

I thought I could figure this out by process of elimination, but who is it?BigMart wrote:Woody - Presented well and took some good grabs at CHF in the first half. looked a fish out of water in the backline in the second half. Has a ? over his speed and agility. CHF/CHB
Glad to hear the report, thanks.
It's a guess but I would think its Jarryd Allen, hence Woody Allen.Otiman wrote:I thought I could figure this out by process of elimination, but who is it?BigMart wrote:Woody - Presented well and took some good grabs at CHF in the first half. looked a fish out of water in the backline in the second half.
