If they chose to stay there you'd think it would be a reasonable move for them to team up with the Scorps as their 2's side, and for us to take Sandringham; in effect swap VFL clubs. That would make some sense on the face of it.

Wouldn't that be fantastic, Sandy becomes the Saints VFL Club and Trevor Barker Oval becomes the Saints training centre and the $10,000,000 plus is spent at the T.B. Oval instead of Frankston. What one could do - the Sandy Club down the road could become the Social Club (have to get pokie machines), the Sandy Yacht Club could be alligned to the St.KFC as the second Social Club with dual membership and the Admin Building could have bay views!!!!.

That would please everyone but Frankston.

We have committed to the Frankston Oval now, we shouldn't do a Kingston Council and back out of it.

That was what should have happened in the first place.

It is "our" area.
We often used to train there under Stan.
Bourkie and Harves (formerly) live round the corner.
The ground is named after our greatest icon.

We belong there.

Not in some godforsaken landlocked hole surrounded by treeless McMansions.
Or halfway down the bay on the fringes of civilisation.

The Sandy Saints.
Way to go !

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

If there was enough land at Sandy for a half decently sized facility don't you think the Demons would have taken that as first option?

If there's not enough room for that, then there's not enough room for a fully fledged AFL training/admin centre.

Melbourne go train in Bourke Street.
The beachside suburbs have always been St Kilda territory.
No former zoning by a corrupt VFL will ever make them part of your CBD.

In two years time Melbourne can merge with another club at the Rectangular Dome of the same name.
They can call themselves "MELBOURNE"
They can play rugby league and barrack for the storm.
