better than a acl or pcl any way. Some info

What is a medial ligament injury?
Injury to the MCL often occurs after an impact to the outside of the knee when the knee is slightly bent. The MCL on the inside of the knee becomes stretched and if the force is great enough its fibres will tear. The deep part of ligament is prone to becoming damaged first and this may lead to medial meniscal damage also. See also Medial Cartilage Meniscus Injury

Grade I MCL Tear
This is an incomplete tear of the MCL. The tendon is still in continuity, and the symptoms are usually minimal. Patients usually complain of pain with pressure on the MCL, and may be able to return to their sport very quickly. Most athletes miss 1-2 weeks of play.

Grade II MCL Tear
Grade II injuries are also considered incomplete tears of the MCL. These patients may complain of instability when attempting to cut or pivot. The pain and swelling is more significant, and usually a period of 3-4 weeks of rest is necessary.

Grade III MCL Tear
A grade III injury is a complete tear of the MCL. Patients have significant pain and swelling, and often have difficulty bending the knee. Instability, or giving out, is a common finding with grade III MCL tears. A knee brace or a knee immobilizer is usually needed for comfort, and healing may take 6 weeks or longer.

If any of you see Luke McGuane in the street feel free to spit on him ;)
He knew Nick did not have the ball yet decided to sling him anyway.
Sorta reminds me of when Ryan Hargreave pulled Nick down and slung him into the ground the year Roo did his shoulder in Brisbane.

Sounded fairly definite it was a medial ligament on the talkback i heard - about 2-4 weeks but that sounds a bit optimistic to me.

Pretty much the same thing was said by Michael Roberts on Triple M.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Did a grade 2 tear of my medial 2 weeks ago and started running Thursday night with it strapped. Roo will obviously get better medical and physio work than me so wont be suprised if he plays after the break maybe with a jab as when it heals it binds short and has to restretch which gives a little discomfort.

i think the initial estimate is 2-4 weeks (luckilly we havea bye).

However they will not really know till he has a scan.....

On the upside the "rest" may help his tendonitis...and so he may come back better...

Yes saw that............clearly did not have ball and deliberately slung/dumped to the ground hoping to cause an impact.
