Could not watch game due to son's 21st last night. Heard this morning on SEN Roo. was selfish in taking kick when injured. Cam\n any one elaborate or are they talking crap.

yep he was selfish.

Perhaps he was trying to do the captain thing, but there's no loss in pride to palm the ball off if you've got an injury...

He wasn't going to go off he thought he could shake it off only after the kick did he realise he had to leave the field of play

Pretty sure Lenny was voted as the players choice. However I would think that would be more "We want Lenny" rather than "We don't want Nick"

Well he made the distance so it wasn't like he couldn't kick it.

In terms of his injury he probably shouldn't have taken it.

i would not say it was selfish. He kicked it then realised he was buggered. Leading the league in assists as of start of this round so could not ever call Roo selfish.

Talking crap. Prob the best kick from that shot. Frase was in the square and probably would have been the better option, but was too far away. Monty and Lenny would had a good crack. If he had kicked the goal though no one would have complained, would they? Just the media beating things up as usual.

IMO it's less about taking the kick because he was in the best position for it, but because he is notoriously unaware of his injuries. See the brisbane game where he got attacked by Mal Michael and Brad? Scott.
