NOTES:
•Working on presumption HUGHTON not fit, otherwise he returns not BLAKE.
•DEMPSTER dropped just doesn’t win enough footy, cant play tall.
•FERGUSSON, JONES & BLAKE included on form.
•BLAKE takes CLOKE, FISHER ROCCA.
•GRAM to be put on notice to start committing himself to the footy (soft), given opportunity on the wing.
•BIRSS wins position HFF to do a lock down job on Heath SHAW.
•MONTY to HBF to take pressure off him (lose tag) give us run & delivery.
•CLARKE, C. GARDINER & FERGUSSON to be rotated as required.
•Ruckman to play kick behind fill defensive gaps, otherwise our ruckman should dominate contents.
•Must win centre clearances & contested ball this week.

Assuming King is available and Max not
B: R.Clarke, Goddard, Baker
HB: Geary, S.Fisher, L.Fisher
C: Montagna, Hayes, Dal Santo
HF: C.Gardiner, Koschitzke, Schneider
F: Ferguson, Allen, Milne
Foll: M.Gardiner, Ball, Armitage
Int: Birss, Gram, Harvey, King
OUT: Riewoldt, Maguire, X.Clarke, Dempster, Gehrig
IN: Allen, King, Geary, L.Fisher, Ferguson
Goddard v Rocca (R.Clarke loose and helping out)
Baker v Davis
Geary v Didak
S.Fisher v Cloke
C.Gardiner to lead up the wings/midfield
Kosi play as true CHF
Allen, Ferguson both marking options deep forward. Focus on defensive pressure
M.Gardiner, Hayes, Ball and Armitage forms a very tough midfield that won't let any easy clearances through.
That said, realistically the only changes that will probably be made are Roo, Goose and X out for Blake, King and Jones.

was told that allen played well. up at chf, I wanted to squeeze him in but I think the G will get another week to perform... also think he might after a week off.ausfatcat wrote:amazing what one game at scorps does...
Ferg good game everyone wants him in despite being average for most of the year.
Allen not a great game no one wants him despite playing good all year.
was also told that ferg has shown pretty consistent form this year... not in the best every but tracking okay, ferg is a good in for the collingwood game due to their crazy amount of players his size and strength imo

We obviously watched different games last week.WinnersOnly wrote: •DEMPSTER dropped just doesn’t win enough footy, cant play tall.
With Goose out, we need Dempster. Even if he is not yet the prolific player we want him to be, we need to play him to build up his game time and to get him into the team structure. Dempster was good last week, he's not the kind of player that gets the accolades or attention of Chips, but he did well last week. See no reason why he is not going to continue to improve. Cutting him now would be silly, especially considering our lackluster defense and injuries.

INS
fergo, king, (if fraser plays) if doesnt mcevoy ,
allen ...
spot on... No need to complicate it... However, if Max is ok, Blake out.. Surely Gears is ahead of CJ... Irrespective of CJ's game yesterday, like Rix he has shown his skills level is too far below what is required at AFL..Solar wrote:simple changes this week

Geary has that composure and poise needed to succeed at the top level..
If King isnt fit, I would bring McAvoy in, play him against Wood, and keep Kosi forward..

Surely Raph would have to be counting his lucky stars to get another gig? The guy is a liability at the moment. I wish he'd prove me wrong, but don't think he deserves anymore chances to do that! His game against Richmond was as bad as it gets
Fiora would probably come in for X,but surely it's his last chance to own a spot in the side.
This is Kosi's chance to stand up with the absence of Rewoildt. If he delivers to potential then Roo won't be missed too badly. All if's
Should be an interesting game. Stop there run off half back and we can win,if not we'll be in strife

Fiora not up to it physically...
I would have Raph and Jones every day before FIORA simply on effort and that thing called a ticker. Fiora needs to show a much more consistent and solid approach to the ball in the VFL before he should be considered for AFL.jonesy wrote:Surely Raph would have to be counting his lucky stars to get another gig? Re: Fiora not up to it physically...
Fair enough comments on Fiora. Just we need some ball carry in the side, unfortunatly he gets a spot this week due to our lack of it,not because he deserves it.WinnersOnly wrote:I would have Raph and Jones every day before FIORA simply on effort and that thing called a ticker. Why haven't you put Ferg in on the basis of one good game?
Are you an Adult or something?
Ferg kicked 2 against Tas but not named in the best players, Vs Bendigo kicked 1 goal and was named 3rd best, V's Frankston kicked 1 goal and was named best on ground, and yesterday close to best on ground. (all this from the Scorpians website. So to say he has one good game is harsh. Has busted his arse for four years to get a game (unlucky with injuries and selection at times)and is prob on his last year unless he gives us something. I hope he gets a game and I hope he has a blinder.
Wake me up when September ends.

Baker could definitely be a possibility to go to Didak, but i'm not too sure about Medhurst. Im pretty sure if that match up eventuates, Malthouse will isolate him in the square where Medhurst's marking strength will become a major factor. Even with the extent of injuries we have to our KP backs, i still feel the Medhurst match up will be the hardest for us to get right.baker on either medhurst or didak
Depending on the changes we make i would go with
Blake on Cloke
S.Fisher on Rocca
Geary on Davis
Baker on Didak
Dempster to Medhurst
I still want to see Gehrig get one more shot at it. For mine if he struggles for another week that could be it in my eyesplugger66 wrote:Ins Blake, Ferg, Geary and King if fit otherwise MCEvoy. CJ maybe for X which means Geary misses out.
Outs Rooy, X, Goose and maybe G if King is fit.
