At the end of the scale, Daniel Wulf has been forced to retire due to a nagging foot injury. The former St Kilda player struggled in his couple of years after arriving at Swans in 2005, but had an improved 2007 and so far in 2008 was in sensational form in a new role across half back. ...

Also in the squad is former Geelong Falcons, St Kilda and Kangaroos midfielder Joe McLaren, who is now playing coach of Hampden Football League club Koroit.

Hey, this is a good thread...got any other 'where are they nows'?

I went and saw a band about 3 years ago and Chris Stone was their bass player! Don't think he's gone on to become an international rockstar though.

...oh, and Milan Feletic runs a cleaning company here in Adelaide. He came back to SA and did quite well in the SANFL, but I'm not surprised that group of 80's players didn't have much to do with footy in the long run, it wasn't our best crop.

Chris Hollow is also in a band, the Sand Pebbles.

Robert Elphingstone's kid plays at Beverly Hills in the Doncaster area.

Dean Greig is coach of Ferntree Gully in the EFL.

Haha! My mate who booked his band to play the venue was an ex-South Adelaide player who knew of Chris' playing career, told me to come down and see if he would be wearing his goggles. But no luck...aside from a broken string, I guess it's harder to sustain an eye injury on stage.

HA HA HA

Or maybe it was because he was an average and undersized Key forward, who couldn't kick goals from 5 meters our straight in front and who cost us a game lol

I remember that game. wasnt it against the swans?
Wulf runs into an open goal, snaps and hits the post. Draw. Think it was dal's first or one of his first games and he took a shot after the siren from 70 out.

While most people won't forget Daniel Wulf for that infamous point in that sydney match there was another incident in that game which i thought was pure gold.

He was one on one with a swans player on the wing and was about to get tackled, it would've been absolutely plum too, but at the last moment he jumped from a crouching position and as the player dived in for the tackle he clipped Wulfies legs above him, resulting in a free for tripping

The question that needs to be asked, is who did we replace him with? M. Clarke.

Didn't realise that he had gone back to Adelaide as an assistant coach until he was interviewed leaving the ground during a game a couple of weeks ago.

Brett knowles's grandad lives up the road from me
Brett Knowles is currently an assistant coach at Belconnen FC up in Canberra. He was Captain Coaching Ainslie FC for a while before he got sacked. Though he did coach them to 3 finals series in 3 years.
