HSV……

Let me say it was the best question anyone has asked…

Well done…

But please let me say, if we are going to ask General questions,
(not about St Kilda)

PLEASE LEAVE IT HERE IN THE OFF SEASON!!!

At least we get some response …..

Can Mrs Fid ask a question with respect to country football (Quambatook)

and near by...?

OK........

I think it’s my turn……

The brownlow medal system is normally a three vote system.

How many other systems were in place?

What were they?

And in what years?

OK, I'll have acrack.

I think there have been two other systems.

1. From 1925 to about the early thirties- The umpire use to award one vote to the player he deemed best on the ground.

2. There was another system in about 1975 when Graham Moss won. Two umpires "both" gave 3,2,1 votes. Therefore the winner had 40+ votes

Close enough?

Close enough Selhurst Saint

Voting systems: 1924-1930:One vote per game;

1931-present:Six votes per game:3,2,1;

(except 1976-77:12 votes per game:3,2,1 from each of two field umpires)

Your turn....

What was the interesting significance of the last two games played by the Saints in the 1968 season.

Both were against Geelong.
The first was in the final round and we beat the Cats convincingly. Then we met again in the First Semi Final and the tables were turned. This time the Cats gave us a belting.

ok I think I got a good one.

What former footballer left Carlton, because the trainers refused to rub him because he was aboriginal, and then played for Fitzroy (he turned out to be a very good player)

clue - it was around the 1930s
