Great idea! Perhaps all the heroes can turn up and give Fiora and MG soem advice on how to play... and tell the players that they're not interested etc.

This should rev them up for next week.

Probably not. Gotta earn a crust

TBH, the only training session I've been to was GF week in '97.

Actually, I don't try and put people in their place... I just get sick of some of the vitriol on this forum. CAll it a soapbox, or whatever. But I don't like it when it's directed at players etc.

As for the "flu"... mate I have a business to run. At $250 per hour, that's a good $500 down the drain. With respect.

I'll be there on Sunday with the rest of the Sicilian clan as I have been for the last 38 years.

OK

No appearance from Max, Joey and Dal.

Gram looked very suss.
He had his right calf strapped and had a lot of work done on his left knee.
Looked quite distressed and went in and had the knee strapped. Heard him say it felt a lot better after running a couple of laps with it strapped.
I wouldn't write him off yet.

Fiora looks to have a quad problem. No great loss.

X trained the house down.
He looks great, after looking like death warmed up a couple of weeks ago.
Although he hasn't played for a long time, I would not be surprised to see him come straight in this week.

Bakes had no strapping on his leg and moved freely. Would expect him to play for casey this week.

Gwilt was wearing a GPS thingy (that's a technical term) and kicked a goal from the centre. Maybe being considered to replace Max, if he doesn't come up.

A pretty good workout, with some sharp match practice.

One thing of note, some looney looney came out on a tractor cutting the grass whilst training was still going on. Probably on Kingston Council instructions, still smarting after losing in the Supreme Court.

Jeff's was from behind centre and in a match, but Jimmy's was pretty good.

Thanks BS...

On max I heard on SEN that they would give him every chance to see if he shapes up...

So that must mean that he is in doubt still.

I would this expect him to be selected on Thursday...with Gwilt as an emergency.

thanks for the training update bernard, quality reports as per usual :)

great to hear about x. Baker needs to have 2-3 good weeks to push for selection. Will depend on how mini goes in his new role. But would kill for a stopper in the class of baker for a finals match.

Gwilt will be named in the extended squad, will be dropped to an emergency on saturday and might come in if maxy doesn't come up. No suprises there apart from the fact that max is a chance.

Gram is a worry and if he misses then x will come in. If gram plays then I would expect x to get some form through casey.

Still think the ins are

kosi, geary, birss, gwilt, xavier

and if max comes up the changes will be

in kosi, geary, birss
out: fiora, armo, schneider

gwilt comes in if maxy doesn't come up
xavier comes in for gram if he doesn't come up

Solar - sorry but don't believe X coming in is an option at all, he hasn't played for weeks. If he was fit to play in the 1's he would be selected.

It is not just fitness, but match practice too.

Much wiser to bring him back via Casey.
