Robert and Jack

Post: # 616860Post saintbrat »

Harves attributed some of his enthusiasm this year to being in the Locker next to Jack-
"I share a locker next to Jack Stevens now, who comes in every day and takes his school uniform off and puts his bag down, and that was me," said Harvey.

"Being next to him has been good this year because it has ignited my memories of that. I’ll never divorce myself of footy because it is all that I know. The footy club is something that I’ll always be connected to."

He remembered coming to training in his uniform and changing into saints gear- just as Jack is doing

Yeah thanks for that Brat -

For some reason, I found this the most gut-wrenching part of it all today..

Harvey saying, "and that was me"

Kills me..

Lucky Jack - no#34

Well the coach has said he'll try to play Jack this year. Could he play with Harves, then get his jumper?

I run SAFARI and it doesn't get on too well with Saintcentral..

Personally, I think the number should be retired for quite some time. Give it to Connor, who by the way, has fantastic hair, just like his old man.

From what I saw, there were indeed a few very solemn looking players standing off to the side during the interview. They looked really affected by it - I know I would be. I saw Frase, Bakes, Lenny, Bally and Stevie. The old brigade. Was Roo there - anyone else?

Also, I do find it interesting that Harves has made mention of young Jack, Lucky Jack as I'm gonna now call him, in his retirement conference.

A player who has not played a single senior game.

I get the feeling Robert thinks he might chalk up quite a few.

Try to imagine Jack Steven announcing his retirement in 2028.

Pleaaaassseeeeee.

Wonder what'll be said tomoz, although I doubt too many of his mates will have watched the press conference... thats a massive thing to say about someone. Im sure Jack's feeling pretty good haha.

He's gotta play sometime between now and the end of the season, surely.

180's about right, but he's probably still growing!

Will never be overly tall, but I was shocked at how mature is body is when I saw him play for the Scorps a few weeks back.

He's a nuggety little bastard!
