Who played on Davis last night?

Post: # 619517Post Winmarvellous »

Sitting with the rest of the Western Saints, and nobody knew. Fiora? Gram? He killed us last night, and whoever was on him should not be playing next week. Plain and simple.

Mate, I was at the game last night. I couldn't spot Davis' opponent all night. He was in 50m of space virtually the whole game.

Good Question Winmarvellous!

I was there...and didnt see anyone near Davis whenever he had the ball, which was far too often. We even kicked the ball straight to him out of defence.

Davis tore us apart and won the game on his own I thought.

Think you will find Gilbert did a very good job on DAvis in the first half ,unfortunately he was forced to go onto the bigger Coll fwds as Gwilt not standing up and then in the last quarter Sam Fisher moving into the centre.

FIORA is the answer to your question.

Gilbert was on him for most of the game, was moved off and played as a tall and did well.

Despite Gilbert getting smashed by crumbing forwards time after time over the past few months, he still gets the opposition's best small every week.

When played in his actual role (third tall defender) he does pretty well. You'd think he would be played as a tall permanently...but Lyon works in mysterious ways.

I believe you're right. Although it seemed the plan was to try and make Davis accountable as Fiora was never within range except for the occasional stoppage. Coaching masterstroke.

I thought Gilbert was on No. 7. Medhurst.

I'm pretty sure it was Fiora. Not a defender's boot lace that bloke. And Dempster on Cloke in the last quarter was puzzling.

It's strange, I thought if your team is up and controlling the game, you can run forward of your opponent to get the ball and set up play, etc. But the pies were in charge so why wasnt Davis' direct opponent actually being an opponent rather than the invisible man? doesnt make any sense. Crazy

Global Warming? don't you dare question this or you'll be called a heretic...remember the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages? "the earth is flat !!!"
I thought science was all about finding the truth and asking questions...why do we all have to believe what we are told ffs ????

I know it was Fiora for a while in the second half, the second I noticed that match up I told my mates it was going to end in tears, 8 seconds into the quarter Davis had a shot at goal.

Fiora was DEFINITELY on Dale Thomas in the second half.....as a HBF....he also spent a bit of time on Tark Lockyer...in the second half...

Gilbert (back) and Montagna (mid) were his opponents...

where did Fiora come from, and did anyone actually watch the game....

From where I was sitting Fiora was on him after Gilberts laughable attempt. Unless it was Fiora's twin?
