Haven't really thought about it too much.

But the INS need to happen.
Jones???

Amongst other things he landed 7 tackles...

He has also put in over many games, compared to others that playa game and then go missing the next.
Ross Lyon is developing a team of players that 'try'

What about players that 'do'.....This is why we lose, because our list is clogged with RL regects that get games tackle, chase and run fast.....

How about kicking, marking and footballing ability.....Surely the best players are ones that 'do' with the football in their hands....

We are going nowhere fast......And some of us seem to like it.

Well i don't like it but StKilda never seem to really get anywhere.Just when it looks like they are climbing out of crapville they find a way to go back there.

The way out this time seems to be an eon away......

I hope i'm wrong but we keep losing to teams that are a rabble....

You can't win consistently with a 1 man forward line and too many passengers in the midfield and woeful disposal overall.......

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Charlie kicked the goal.

Wouldnt bank on the other Gardiner being back anytime soon, he was shocking against the Eagles, and for the past two weeks at Casey. Terrible.

noted the ' boundary rider' rode the boundary from the Commentary box""""""""

would be X clarke- But Raph was Ok too
Jack Steven was very good-

Chivers- dislocated finger- which he wasn't letting the trainer near- - at right angles to his hand - played in the seniors.

Agree totally, he's been in our best 8 players for the last 6 weeks.
Many others should go before him.

that's 6 points in a row.....from 13 points down to 7 points down!
The ball was in our possession or contested for most of that time, but we just couldn't get a goal

Then NB got the ball & swept it down for a goal - easy as that!

Agree with you.

X seems to be finding his feet again. Birss has been knocking on the door for a month, and never really deserved to get dropped originally, and Armo was BOG by all reports. Would want to chuck Steven in as well, see what he's made of.

Geary isn't ready yet, Eddy isn't finding enough of the footy, and Fiora should be gone.

Freezing day! That is for sure. must have been about 10 degrees tops.

Good contest, casey probably should have got up in the end but were just too wasteful in front of goal.

Had the first 7 scoring shots of the last term for 1.6.

Xavier was probably our best. had a heap of the ball and his skills stood out in the wet, except he missed a few gettable shots in front of goal.

Birss solid, Steven played his best game of the year I dare say. His pace was a real factor around the clearances.

Howard tagged Swallow and kept him very quiet.

Rix unfortunately was the pick of our ruckmen, played a better game then MG.

Leigh Fisher was down, and needs to play better at that level.

Ferguson kept his opponent quiet down back but made 3 or 4 errors that directly resulted in goals to North Ballarat.

Allen took some nice marks and kicked a goal in conditions that don't suit key forwards.

Chivers was quiet and then appeared to badly dislocate a finger in the third term.

Raph was in the best again. Playing on a wing all day.

Charlie took some nice marks and pushed a long way up the ground playing on a wing also at one stage.

Players in line for a call up from that are X, Raph and Birss, maybe Charlie Gardiner.

If we're dweveloping a team that 'tries' - he's failing.

If he's developing a team that 'do's' he's failing.

Why is Fergo playing in the backline if he was played as a forward in the seniors??? FFS?

The conditions weren't great out Cranbourne way but yeah as SaintBart said, it was great to see the Resi's get over the line. Against a top 4 side and in a game I guess we were ment to get thumped in we really did the 1 %s and I think seeing as the Seniors are definately playing in September, a lot of the boys wanted to earn a spot and push for selection come finals time.

Unlucky for the Seniors though, put up a good effort but just couldn't run away with the 4 points.

A true ol winters day of footy we experienced yesterday!
