That will crush him - a bit like the weight of his three premiership medallions. Wish we'd been his second or third club.

All St Kilda fans should be focused on getting behind the Saints rather than giving it to an opposition player in his final game for an incident that occurred years ago.

Have some class.

TTSF, from your post in this thread and the one in the 'Robert Harvey Respect' thread it would appear that you believe that no player who has announced his retirement should be booed by opposition fans?

Do you believe that opposition players should be booed at all?

IIRC Mal Michael has been roundly booed by Saints fans (as has Barry Hall) since his infamous cowardly assault on a seriously injured and defenseless Nick Reiwoldt at the Gabba. Prior to that disgraceful act I don't believe he 'copped' anything from us?

Just because he has announced his retirement you think we should 'forgive' him that act?
Why?
Has he publicly expressed any remorse over his actions?
Has he publcly apologised for his actions?

I'm offended that you consider Saints reaction to his actions equivalent to 'idiots' from other teams not recognizing the true champion qualities of Harves.
IMHO you could not be further off the mark.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I promise I will be booing loudly every time that 'cowardly bully' goes near the ball.
Let no-one get the wrong impression that all is forgiven because he managed to con the AFL and swap Clubs by stealth.
We still remember what he did that night at the Gabba.

I well and truly remember what he did up at the Gabba that night. And whilst it was a low act against Roo, sadly it was also within the rules. Not within the spirit but within the rules. What was also sad that night was that apart from Hamill, no one jumped in to give those Brisbane players curry.

By the way the comment wasn't mean to draw parallels between the two players by the way. Sorry to have offended.

Boo him for all you want. Each to their own really. Couldn't be bothered wasting my breath or energy on an opposition player hanging up the boots.

If you want to direct some anger against Essendon players direct it at Adam McPhee who tried to decapitate Harvey in 2006 at the MCG.

Seem to recall Hamill doing something similar to Akermanis. Whilst, I did not like what I saw in Brisbane, I don't think a player's career show be characterized by such an act. Can't recall Mal Michael being reported too often- always seemed to play the game hard but fair. He seemed to have the knack of doing the right thing at the right time.

Whilst you can boo him, I'll clap him off the ground. Hopefully his opponent will kick ten on him.

I don't care if it's his first game or his last, if he's wearing black with a red stripe, he's not getting any claps or cheers from me.

Geez i hate those pr1cks. Give it to them Saints, make them hurt for the next 6 months till they get to play again. They've never had any mercy for us...time to get one back.
