For all the torment the little bastard has put us through, he's given us some great moments.
The second half of 2008, he's emerged as a team-oriented, damaging, clever, smart and hard-working player. And courageous.
What more could you want?
Keep it up son.

Possibly the most unpredictable player to put on a St.Kilda jumper. But boy, is he exciting when he decides to tune in!

I know it wont happen, but Milney should make AA this year. There is no better small forward in the game.

I said about 2 weeks's ago that Steven Milne needed to do something special to hold his place on the saints list & boy has he delivered . Just goes to prove if we can play an attacking stlye of game & get the ball into our forward line quickly it gives our small forwards an opportunity to reap the rewards

THe last three weeks have been his "best ever"!
And today, HE was the one who was responsible for the percentage effort.
If ever you wanted to see how force of mind can control a situation, today was it with S. Milne.

Have always been a fan but Milney has been a revelation since getting dropped mid season. Has become a lot more team oriented, and has never been as consistent as he has now. 54 goals for the year, which makes him the leading small forward in the competition is testament to his performances this year. Good onya Milney

I believe the turnaround has been due largely to the wider football community embracing Milne since he's heroics in WA. It's the first time that a little bit of R.E.S.P.E.C.T (outside of the Saints supporter base of course) has headed his way. Does a lot for one's self esteem....maybe Milne needs to feel the love in a manner of speaking?

Well, if he's not "feeling" it now, he never will!

I'm 90% sold on the guy. Let's see if he can now back it up in a finals series. If he does, could be the diff b/n a flag and another wasted year IMO.
The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

How has he given us torment?
He has averaged 2 goals a game as a small forward over 150 games.

Milney has been fantasitic-he wears his heart on his sleeve! Absolute champ, he is always one of those players that makes you sit on the edge of your seat when he has the ball- will he kick a goal or will be get run down and tackled! Such a passionate player!! He definitly fires up the crowd when he kicks goals!
Go saints in '09!

And to think he lined up for the bombers and beat the Saints in the 1999 Reserves Grand Final...
