Of the 16 Qualifying Final losers since the new final eight system was introduced only two have failed to bounce back and win their semi-finals the following week. They were Port Adelaide in 2001 and a severely injury-depleted West Coast which lost to Collingwood in extra-time last year.

ah yes . true true.
but keep in mind the difference this year is all the teams between 4th and 8th (even as far as 10th ) were only percentage points or at worst 2 games difference in the wins column during the 22 rounds.
cant remember the last time the top 3 teams were so far ahead and locked in their positions this early in the season.
im very confident we will win
the lazy 10 greenies going on the saints and 10 pineapples at under 39.5 for a nice collect.
