fantastic contest against talkingcarlton today...
reminded me of our very first game against saintsational...
we did not deserve to win, and it was only 2 points in the end...
we were genuinely surprised that carlton deserves supporters and players this passionate, but we have learned our lesson...
see you guys soon on the park with "big carl" up for grabs...
regards,
rollo

current negotiations...
is saturday a viable option ??
saturday is hard for us dees because many have cricket commitments...
end of november vrs early december ??
we are guaging interest/availability on demonland atm (our only player from demonology did his knee against talking carlton last sunday)...
but there are 2 sites involved here, what do you guys say ??...
we had a female player vrs talking carlton - any objections ??
hope you guys win this time...
lugging big carl about is becoming a bit of a chore...
there is a rumour that the spinner brothers are out of contract...
if so, we would like permission to hold discussions with their agent...
(we suppose the spinners will say that their contract is for life)...
looking forward to catching up with you guys...

we have had many responses on the thread on demonland...
but we need to know what you guys think about saturday v sunday and an actual date...
will post again when there is a clear set of prefereces over our way, but a saturday would seem to be impossible for us (at this stage) in terms of fielding a team (because of cricket commitments)...

yep, saturdays are definitely out for us dees...
we will be without our 7' ruckman, and at least some of our regulars, but sunday december 7 is shaping as a realistic date for us...
organisers on both sites looking for a suitable oval...
how does sunday, december 7 look to you guys (and girls) ??

hey, HD...
is yipper up for umpiring again ??
if he'd rather play, and get ironed out on your forward line, we can accomodate...
but seriously, if yipper wants a break, the guy who umpired our game against talking carlton, was yipper quality, so let us know...
and don't forget we need somewhere to play...

I'm ok to umpire - definately not playing thanks very much!! But would prefer the weekend before if possible (Sunday 30th??) Otherwise will see what I can do.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

whats wrong with that collingwood ground??? is it Goshes Paddock?
perfect location, right next to richmond station/jolimont station/city/cricketers arms/tram lines....
i think albert park is a bit far out and public transport is hard out there isnt it?

gosch's park was unavailable for the dees vs blues game as the centre area had been dug up and there was a huge bulldozer on the ground.....saintdooley wrote:whats wrong with that collingwood ground??? is it Goshes Paddock?
