shop garage sale in Northcote

Post: # 681193Post saintfreddy »

Went past a shop which is being used as a garage sale and popped in. They had some good St Kilda stuff including the 66 piece (limited edition the club brought out for $2500) plus another pair of signed jeans from 1997 grand final and some pura milk guerneys and other stuff I don't remember.

I asked the guy when they open and he said most days from around 10.30am or so. They are at 501 High St Northcote (near the RSL across the road).

That reminds me. I was in Sydney recently and passed an op shop. Pride of place in the front window was a huge St Kilda crocheted rug in club colours and the logo pride of place in the centre.

Looked a few years old.

Unfortunately, the price didn't match it's location in the front window.

Reduced from $29.95 to $5.95.

These pura milk jumpers, were they the yellow crest, or the home colours?

They were from memory the home guernseys with the traditional colours

They were the yellow cross.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Cheers, sounds like a great selection,

only its virtually impossible for me to get in contact with this place, as I'm in Sydney.

Don't suppose they have a phone?

The guernseys are the same as the traditional ones. The '66 piece was $2500.00 The jeans which were framed I am not sure about but I think they were around $100 or so. The guernseys I can't recall but remember thinking they were quite cheap (don't quote me but somewhere around $30 give or take)

I did happen to write down the guy's name in the store. It was Terence and his mobile number is: 0458037742 He mentioned he's there around 10.30am

Thanks Freddy! I'm local, so went for a trawl to 501 A High St. They still had two Pura hotcross jumpers @ $25, the '66 framed caper, and some old VFL and AFL stuff.

I found a few Saintly 'treasures' that were interesting and quite cheap. Some cute old Hawks, Dogs, Roos, Blues stuff if any of their supporters are on your Xmas list. For whatever reason.

They will not grow old, as those from more northern States grow old.
For them it will always be three-quarter-time, with the scores level
and the wind advantage in the final term.

The old jumpers are a rarity.

I saw a guy on L3 city side last year... who looked like an old GAry Sidebottom wearing an old jumper complete with white collar and Valentine sponsor logo.

Now that's something I'd like to get my hands on (the jumper :? )

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.
