Newbies - any impressions Marto?

Thanks for the report.
Do you have any particular impressions of the new guys you saw?
I went to the two previous public training sessions and thought Heyne looks a possibility for first year action. Gaertner looks a good size. Just initial impressions - what do you think?

Thanks Big Mart.

It would make a lot more sense to me if I could remember what the numbers were.

Gardiner in for a big year? Just what would that mean for him or for us?

Particularly liked this bit:
11-Full Training - extra work after training kicking to leads
12-Full Training - extra work after training until hit in the face with the ball and went in sooking
Looks like Joey needs to lower his aim a little.

New guys - a long way to go, most of them....possibly Heyne the closest to a senior player ATM

Goose looked a bit heavy and needs to shed, a bit sluggish (like Ball)

Gardiner moved very well....I think he will dominate initially at Sandy, and get his chance at some stage....

Lyon was angry because the players were f***ing up, red hot on Khan Haretuku

Great report.

Wish we had a protected forum though for this sort of stuff as some that report was pretty specific. I guess each club has their spies anyway.

same issue came up a couple of years go and at about the same time the notice about photography at training went up..

great report but fairly specific.

Alstair Smith is a nice mover pace-wise......and is not tiny....has some OK size for a draftee (unlike Howard and LJ, and similar to Steven) but like Jack may need to get an endurance base behind him, and muscle definition/tone should be visible, which it is not......maybe why he ran about 20 laps at training

Jack Steven has no doubt lost weight this season, he would be 5kg lighter.....and much more fit-looking
