not raph however i would like to see a few of the new guys play a lead up goal kicking forward to partner kosi who should play in the square
the fact is if kosi plays full forward for the year and plays a bit of ruck he wont have the massive goal kicking output much like last year
hoever if one considers roo down for 50+ same with milne, it would be illogical to think that kosi could match considering the emphasis both get going forward
"It's a work in progress," Lyon said.
would like them to try chips there wit cahill and lynch to work the forward line with him. Give raph clarke CHB and goose/dawson FB and rest max.
Just in the NAB cup so we can add a string or two to our bow. Raph clarke has played CHB for the scorps against players 10 cms and 15 kg's bigger them him.

It'd be good if the coaching staff thought outside the box for NAB. Don't see the benefit of over rehearsing what we always do.
Get game and push some players out of their comfort zone. If any of the youngens are available play'em - now. You can't experiment once the really McCoy starts.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Lynch, Cahill arent quite ready to play the 'main role' just yet

i'd like to see the following players tried in the key forward positions in riewoldt's absence: bj, r. clarke, s. fisher, s. gilbert.
if one of them shows he has what it takes to play key forward this could be very important to us later in 2009.
lynch, no doubt, will be looked at but unless he is a complete bolter he's a longer term prospect.
with kosi playing as second ruck (resting forward) we will effectively need a chf and a ff until riewoldt is back and a chf or a ff once he is back.
obviously you'd rather have riewoldt fully fit at this stage of the year, but there is a plus side to it. it will force us to find other avenues to goal.

Some will say he is to slow but he is a great mark and got a good tank. He is quicker than most think.

Why is everyone so set on moving our best rebound defender to the forward line. He reads play well but not a great contested mark and HB is easier to play running forwardthan HF where you have to turn on a sixpence
CHF for pre season perhaps try one of the young blokes or Gwilt. Really menas nothing anyway

Would like to see Kosi (if fit) play at CHF and Roo @ FF.
Then if we can find a good 3rd, Roo could easily kick 100 for the year IMO.
Lance played his best footy with Hamill at his side, as did Gtrain.
Depending on who plays back, I reckon Goose might be that 3rd option that can block and give a bit of argy bargy.
Apart from Mc Evoy as a possible fwd, I can't see anyone being "ready" to play full time.
Noce to have options

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

its a shame allen got injured late last year. would have been a great opportunity for him. i'm sure more will come (but hopefully not this way)
kosi out of the square. blake (our stop gap) to get some time there. maybe even get mcevoy in the fwd line.
BJ in the centre i reckon. time to produce. the apprenticeship is over.

before his knee injury Goddard shown some real form as a CHF.
IMO he is a very exciting player and given his work rate, endurance, courage and skill, as well as his booming kick, he can be a real threat.
IMO goddard at CHF and roo at FF.
