Perhaps 20 hail marys and a public flogging will do the trick.I think Dal's reaction to his dropping hasn't been that good.
Whenever interviewed, I don't get the feeling he's Ok with it. I think he still feels he was scape-goated.
Doesn't ever seem to categorically say 'I was wrong'. And if he does, softens it by using words like 'probably' and 'I think'.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

I agree. Sort of.BigMart wrote:It was a ridiculous decision IMO - definitely a scape goat....but if thats what it took...
It may have helped the rest of the group more than Dal.....
I get the distinct feeling that he was angry with the decision......
I do believe it helped Milney - stats would back this up.....but did not make a great deal of difference to Dal...
Milne's game vs (whoever he broke his cheek against) was monumental
I'm unsure whether it was ridicuous or not to drop, but I'm certainly not convinced it had the effect on him that it was intended to.
He wasn't happy at the time, clearly. And I don't think he is now still.

He said he 'thinks' it was deserved. And it 'probably' gave him a wake up.St DAC wrote:Read the article. Dal says the dropping was deserved, and he's benefited from it. You think he's lying?rodgerfox wrote:How so?
I think Dal still feels, as I think he did at the time, that he was doing nothing different to what half the other guys were doing.
I think he feels scape goated.
