Gilbert signs until end 2011

Maybe his current contract expires at the end of 2009 and all they've done is sign him up to a new 2 year deal finishing end 2011?

As for Roo, his current contract doesn't expire until the end of 2010 so I imagine there'll be no negotiations until next year.

Anybody know when Armo's current contract (the third of our 'Qlders') ends?

Fancy forgetting him Maybe Saints should sign him on a long term back ended contract like Hamill then watch the 2 weeks, 2 weeks, ad nauseum due date for the resumption of his playing date over the years....we could run a book on it and make some money for sponsoring each years SS players

Don't want our Maxy going to any gold coast team before the Saints have exhausted every little bit of defensive, spoiling ability from his game

I didn't include Max because there is no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't entertain any thought of returning to Qld.

I reckon he'll just about be ready for the retirement home when he finally hangs up his Saints jumper for teh last time.

Well he won't be playing for them in their first year unless we initiate a trade with GC17 for him.

Are you talking about him being a priority for them in their second year?

we could always do so if we somehow develop a surplus of talls and see others that could take his spot and do better...obviously at this current stage we cannot really label who could take his place due to it being so far long away

i doubt there are going to be many qld kids in the team to begin anyway despite the marketing crapolo associated with

what one might find is that many situations arise like brent prismall who would get a game anywhere in the league either not offered the amount he is worth or not getting the game time he believes he deserves...and they are snapped up by the gold coast at what could be under value of a player considering they want to leave

FACT: GC17 will target any uncontracted player who has ever visited Queensland or eaten pineapples or bananas. So we'd better watch out!

He only moved to Queensland with his family when was 17 and we drafted him as a 20 year old. He's a Victorian.
