Best 22 at this moment, would be the team producing the kind football we have been witnessing...can't see any changes unless neccessary

Agree, he is in our best 22 today obviously, but we are not going to win a premiership, if he is in our best 22 for the finals.

I am not rubbishing CJ. He has a ton of guts and gives his all. Unfortunately his disposal is shocking. He has improved, but not enough.

I would expext our list to improve during the year and unless CJ's disposal improves (and he picks up a right foot, maybe on eBay) he will find it difficult to hold his place. If he does I will be the first to congratulate him.

Looking at our list at present I see 24 players before CJ.

I thought CJ did him....but Kerr was not poor
You're right CJ did do him...like a dinner!

Those 27 possessions, the majority under pressure and from what I saw fairly ineffectual, which was perfect for us because Kerr can be a ridculously damaging player. I would bet CJ's 25 possessions hurt the Eagles alot more than Kerr's 27.

Probably even more telling when Ball and Hayes had relatively quiet possession games by their standards.

Hopefully this is a turning point for CJ's career and the way he's perceived on this forum. I for one am changing my perception of him.
Well said...CJ has reinvented himself and is now our No 1 tagger, a point empahsised when he got he job on Kerr from the get-go. His disposals were far more damaging then Kerrs in far more damaging areas.

In our best 22 by a street atm

Ok so you dont rate him and probably never will.
But my point stands, he is NOT the same player of two years ago
So do yourself a favour and get a replay of the game and watch his diposal, & not just what he did to Kerr, who just a week before had a game that was touted as one of the best quarters ever played by an individual.
You might be surprised

Been a huge fan for a long time now.

Easily in our best 22 and just watching the replay now, he is out-and-out ferocious.

Keep up the great work CJ.

No right foot? Better drop Schneider and Gilbo as well then.

CJ's disposal was 76% effective today..that was better than Roo, Bally or Milne...

I'm not a CJ fan at all... was very disappointed that he was ket and Birss was delisted.

However, credit where credit is due. He was superb again today after a very very solid start to the season.

Lets hope he can keep it up

He seems to have great acceleration and leg speed which I assume is going to hold him in good stead as an elite tagger.

Does anyone know how he goes against other players in the club with regards to time trials.

I think the 2009 CJ has significantly improved on the prior year's models and it may take us all a while to re-adjust. I used flinch when he went to kick to a teamate, but he executed quite a few good passes yesterday and we may all need to re-assess him in the months ahead. He should have kicked that goal in the last quarter and that did bother me as he needs to compose himself better for those opportunities.

I did hear one the commentators say that Kerr had NO "inside 50's" yesterday and that was a remarkable stat for CJ to remember after Kerr's performance last week. CJ also kicked the only goal that either of them kicked so I think he more influence on the game than Kerr did.

He does need to continue to improve his kicking and we'd all love him to become more two-sided but he is working on his kicking as his greatest weakness. He admits this is his greatest weakness and he said in an interview that he is continuing to work on it. That's about all we can ask of him.

Watching the replay last night I was reminded he had won 2 B&F's at South Freo and came third behind Priddis in another.

Mature age recruit at the time, but can obviously play.

he is an old fashion footballer

can run all day, goes in like a madman, will do any job you ask, plays within his abilities (will look to handpass it off then spot up a hard kick)

I just loved giving it to kerr when his man would run off him and hurt him. Also loved how the other mids would help CJ by bumping and creating contact on kerr every chance they could. Slowed kerr down
