Hype

Post: # 723115Post Griggsy »

Not trying being to a buzz-kill...but

I'm not liking the hype we are getting, not from saints fans, but from everyone else.

Last year rnd 16 we beat the hawks in an excellent game. The following week was all about us, and with all the built hype we lose to West Coast who had won 2 games up to that point in the season.

Next is freo, so hopefully we play to our game. Im still confident as I should be but we should always learn from past mistakes. Hope we take it to freo and make it hurt so bad. We could do them a favour if they sack Mark Harvey because of us

Griggsy,

watch On The Couch and that will bring the hype level down a notch.

We've played no-one of any note so far and are still behind Geelong, Hawks and Doggies.

If the playing group can't handle media hype we are in big trouble.

Don't worry, Ross has it all under control.

Agree to some extent.

Yes ...excellent start against sides we should and have beaten..

The style of the wins have been impressive though......

Tests yet to come from the "big" sides of last year

Certainly not getting ahead of myself chook23, but the Dogs have played Freo, Roos and Tigers - Geelong and Hawks have played each other - and Cats have played Tigers and Pies - and Hawks have played Sydney and Roos.

We've played Sydney, Adel (at AAMI) and WCE.

Apart from the Cats/Hawks clash, I reckon the rest of all four (incl. us) are on a level playing field. Somehow we are behind the other three teams?

And don't get me wrong, I don't mind us being played down at all...

Agree..

And like you perhaps it is not so much who we have played...but HOW we have played.

Best I have seen since 2004. Yes we still need to play the big 3...but it remains the best we have played since then.

Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
